it’s cool to see a photographer traveling with kids and still doing your hobby. sometimes I worry that having kids would be the end of doing some things I consider fun
Incorporate kids to be involved in your passion/hobby early so they get used to it. Our kids have traveled to 30+ countries over 5 continents so far and it's the best learning experience for all of us.
@@BelindaShi I wanted to correct Nicolas' statement above. This is much more than your "hobby". You are a consummate pro, and I have learned so much from this first video I have found of yours. Thank You.
My wife and I have traveled extensively over the past 15 years since we retired. I used to try too hard to eliminate any people when I was trying to photograph subjects in crowded places. As the Beatles advised, I’ve learned to Let it Be. Now I photograph a scene as I see it, trying of course, to be creative with it. Having a goal of including no crowds or people is frustrating and almost impossible these days. Work with what you have and be creative with it. Thanks for the informative video.
SO true! Most of my photos from vacations are of details and scenery, not just what you can buy on a postcard, which makes them far more personal and unique. Great tips!!
I just picked up photography about 2 years ago and am still learning a ton. Great video! My wife and I also found out recently that we're expecting (at 8 weeks now), and I'm super excited to incorporate our kid into photography! I love what you have done with your kids!
Thanks for the video. I feel like we are on the same page. The more I travel, the more I mix it up. Photography is about flexibility. There is always something to photograph, often the uncommon aspects are the best.
Hallo Belinda! Thank you for sharing, your photos are VERY good, and the models seems to be really professionals. One major part of your lecture is actually to think and plan ahead of pressing the famous click-button. What struck me, watching the very good clip, is. How to make some semi-good vacation pics (shot in the moment and without considerations)to really good photographic memories? I mean - How do we treat them in post to "re-engineer" the really good photograps..?
Glad you like my photos. They were all shot in the moment and my boys are not models. As I said 6:55 The more you practice, the more these photo tips will become second nature to you. Your second half of the question is about whether you can use post processing to create a good photo. My take is: post processing is used to enhance a good photo not to fix a bad photo. Hope this helps
great video! I can totally agree with those tips after a recent trip to europe. It was wonderful to see the photographs you took. New follower on instagram too. keep up the great work and videos!
Haha, very good tricks! I admit that few of them I have already tried and worked. I also will try to apply the others learned from you, thx! And yes, my 70-200mm is getting to become my favorite, even the f4 one 😀
Just came across your channel, and so far, really impressed with your content. Different from other photographer's channel and learned a lot. Thank you for sharing. Hoping to forward to seeing more content.
Great video and thank you for sharing your skills. You have given me so many new ideas for my street photography. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.
These are great pics and tips, thank you. What focal length/lens did you use most? I am struggling on what lens(es) to bring on our Europe trip next month.
Will try. You are more than welcome to read my blog (lots of links in my description) to save your time to plan your shot, if you travel to the same place.
can you please make one video on how to do editing like must do minimum editing to the photos . i think most of the photos you presented in the video are all edited ones, so please teach them as well, thanks
Sure. I shoot RAW only and all my photos are edited. With a few seconds or up to a minute for most photos. As a traveler, I maximize my time traveling and spending time with family. Getting the photos right in the camera is far important than relying on retouching.
Great tips & photo$. If you have to choose 1 lens to bring for travel during vacation, would you bring along with your camera zoom lens with lower aperture (f4-5.6) or fix lens with bigger aperture such as f1.4 or f2.0?
Truly after taking photos from camera they have natural colours and lights. So everyone maybe using photo shop to enhance colours and lighting to feel more picture looking. After taking 1000 of photos how on earth everyone selecting good photos out from this 🤔 Lots of time wasting. 😢

Tip #8 use crowd as foreground is pretty creative. Will try it next time
It's also one of my favorite.
Explore off the beaten path….I love getting a perspective different from what EVERYONE else is showing on their social media. Wonderful tips here!
Thank you.
I am a wildlife photographer and use to travel a lot. Your video has inspired me to also click travel photos. Thanks very much.
So happy to hear that. Likewise, I would like to photograph more wildlife in our future trips.

Telephoto lens. See example in the video
Amazing

You seem to love Brussels ?
I love all the places we've been.
Guys I started to love her
I will call you mama-grapher
I'm not agree with Tip 8.
Truly after taking photos from camera they have natural colours and lights. So everyone maybe using photo shop to enhance colours and lighting to feel more picture looking.
After taking 1000 of photos how on earth everyone selecting good photos out from this 🤔
Lots of time wasting. 😢
Feel free to check out my post processing tips regarding photo organization and retouching. BTW none of these photos from this video are photoshopped.
Heyyyyy……..I didn’t know my Manicurist was a photographer.
Not sure who you are talking about.
Goodluck carrying your 70-200 all the time 😅 id prefer a 85mm
Why not include some tourist on the background just blur them from the lens
This 70-200mm is a lot smaller than others and my previous ones, and I am already grateful. :-). That's a good tip too.
My big question, how can you afford to travel this long? I'm guessing you were along with your husband on his business trip?
Self funded. I started cooking dinner for myself at 10 when my mom took care of my dad in the hospital. Everyone's life is different.
@@BelindaShi That's great. Your strong work ethic paid off. Really enjoyed your photos, thanks for the video.
@@johnnyc.5979 Thanks. When we are open minded, our photography will improve. When you persist on your dream, you can achieve anything you want.
