They fled, knowing in advance that they would open fire on the crowd from the roofs of the houses where the revolutionary snipers were sitting. When priest Gapon ran into an alley, they quickly shaved off his beard so that he could leave unnoticed. At this time, revolutionary snipers opened fire from the roofs of houses using rifles and Maxim machine guns. Fire was fired simultaneously at the crowd of demonstrators and at the police. The 2014 Maidan in Ukraine was organized in a similar way, where Georgian mercenaries shot a crowd of protesters from a rooftop to blame the pro-Russian authorities.
