Healthy happy fishes corals you good mate 👍 Keeping fishes is so interesting, my clowns and blue tang always swim play together just like in the movie 🤣
I love Xenia I can’t keep them alive though sadly which makes no sense to me because I have waving hands in the same tank. Keep up these lovely relaxing videos🥰
Love your videos. Do you dose copepods for the dragonets or are they just eating the shrimp? Love the tank. I have a new cube 20 that's starting to feel so full after jsut a couple months. Kinda wish I placed less rock in mine like yours and just let some big boys grow up like the leather
I think that is a good spot for it. Your aquarium is so beautiful! 👌 My Xenia was that size when I put it in my 29g. It has grown quite a lot in 2 years but I have it boxed in by other corals so that it doesn't take over my rocks. At least I thought I did.😅 Noticed some started growing elsewhere and one tiny barley visible to the eye pulsing on the glass near the substrate.😳
I’ve only recently started my first reef tank. I’ve got 2 clownfish and a lawnmower blenny. Yours is very cute. I named mine Neville- as in Neville Longbottom from Harry Potter ⚡️
Hi Lauren, congratulations on starting your first reef tank😃 Neville is a great name, love the Harry Potter reference. If you have any questions about reef-keeping, let me know and I'll try to get back to you. All the best Lauren!
We have the exact same set up and almost lol the same animals in ours. Our Pulsing Xenia went nuts in about 4 months and is now out of control. We have to pull it all out (mostly) and do something else. Maybe a pipe organ coral?
Thanks for sharing your experience. I'll monitor the growth closely (hopefully things stay under control for a bit). Good idea for the pipe organ coral 😎
Since you said to comment on favorite things about fish keeping. With 10 years in the hobby and now having multiple tanks. I’d say learning that each fish has a unique personality is the best thing. I have a violent maroon clown in one tank that only settled down upon putting her in a new tank with some damsels and a yellow watchmen goby, they actually coexist very peaceably. In my main tank my favorite fish is a cleaner wrasse. He’s just like a puppy, when I get home each day and sit next to his tank he swims right next to me doing circles and loops, they’re a very active species. Then when I feed the fish he keeps wanting to perform to be near me. I have to walk away from that tank for him to think about eating. Each night he snuggles up next to a Flame Angel, his best friend, that he swims with a lot. My royal gramma, clowns, 6-line wrasse and lawnmower Benny, all want nothing to do with the cleaner wrasse and flame angelfish. They’re the outcasts but they’re best friends and the flame angel has never nipped at corals.
That was awesome man! The time lapse was even better than I thought, your bleeding apple scoli is still gorgeous too. ❤️ Can I please ask, did your tuxedo urchin solve your turf / green hair algae problems and is it a nuisance picking up its different hats or mostly fun? Hope you’re well!
Thanks Adam! I was surprised that the bleeding apple scoli managed to get back to its perfect donut shapw after feeding🤣 Yes, the urchin definitely did a good job at eating the turf algae in my tank. It can be a nuisance sometimes if the urchin picks up corals that I've already glued, but so far it has not been that bad.
Xenia can drop heads off that will pop up all over the tank. They can also spawn in the aquarium and lead to babies everywhere. I would never recommend xenia to anyone, novice or expert.
why don't you ever clean the black background? can't you remove or has the black worn out due to the salt? strange how a waterbox company uses a material that deteriorates after only a year, it's so nice to see a clean black background rather than those stains ..
@@ManiacalMangoes I understand but for me, being fussy, I love a black background that conveys depth, I would just like to understand if it is he who intentionally leaves it or if it is a defect of the company that tends to deteriorate over time and the black color disappears
Hey Davide, yeah I intentionally left it as it is because I have a lot of pods there for my dragonets. But you can definitely clean that, remove the coralline algae and it'll be black again.
I've determined you've put your hand oils on every piece of your reef. The good news is: It will be amazing when you stop putting your hands in it. ☠️☠️
My favorite thing about fish keeping is admiring the tank and everything inside of it I like to sit and look at my reef tank for minimum 45min a day
Happy Sunday morning from California...definitely worthy of a second cup of coffee....Just a beautiful tank, really enjoy your channel. :-)
Thank you Melanie! If you have any content suggestions, let me know 😀
Ur tank is the best tank! It have all things I love in it! Thanks for sharing I look forward to many more years of adventures in ur tank 🥰🐶
More to come for sure! And thanks for being part of the journey😎

The fish has a whole personality omg! 😊

So lovely .... thank you!
Loved the time-lapse of the corals feeding. Nice vid.
All of your smaller fish are so cool! Its different that what you normally see in every other reef tank. I really enjoy seeing this tank.
Glad you like them, Brian!

Thank you Ron! So cool that you have real life Nemo and Dory in your tank👍😃
@@BlueReefTank that’s awesome man, how do ya get the video quite clear, any orange filter or it is just the white channel of Kessil?
Very interesting video 😊
I love your tank man , your Scolymia's are awesome 😍.
Great video as always 😉.
Appreciate your ongoing support Lorenzo! Cheers 😄
I love Xenia I can’t keep them alive though sadly which makes no sense to me because I have waving hands in the same tank. Keep up these lovely relaxing videos🥰
Incredible! Hi from Brazil 🌞
G'day mate😎
Love it especially the time laps.
Thanks Carlos! The timelapses are my fave too 😄
Do you still have the fang Blenny?
Looking good mate. I’m surprised you bought a Xenia. Only because they can take over a lot of the tank and send pieces flying
Yeah, I'm aware that it may overtake the tank, so I'm keeping a close eye on it😁 Hopefully it doesn't grow too crazily. Thanks for the heads up!
Your vids are the best filmed vids I watch on u tube. Perfect yet again. Your tanks are also stunning!! Please keep up the great work.
Thanks Setts! Much appreciate the kind words!
Amazing
Great video, loved the coral feeding time lapses
Thank you Matt, glad you enjoyed the video 😎
I love your videos.... they are so peaceful 🙂
Thank you Philipp!
Great filming and I love the music choice, such a relaxing video style, perfect for reef aquariums! I sub!
Hey I gather that's the Caribsea Fiji Pink sand you're using. Any problems with it blowing around?

Love your videos. I’m in Melbourne too and wondering where you got your mangrove pods/seeds from?

@@BlueReefTank thank you very much. That is very kind ☺️
I love pulsing xenia. It was among the first couple of corals I put in my tank. I placed it on a separate rock.
Good idea of placing it on a separate rock👍

Tanks looking good as always ! How do get that satisfying away from the corals ? Are you running the nero3 on pulse ?
Hows the clam doing
What light are you using for the mangrove
What size is the tank and is it mainly soft corals?
My Urchin keeps doing the same thing! It fragged one of my zoas
Great fragging assistant 😂
супер видео
How did you place that coral on the back wall??
The Xenia was attached to a small piece of rock and I glued it to the backwall.
Great video, greeting from California, do you still have the cardinal blenny? I did not see him in this video :(
Hey mate, yeah sadly my blenny passed away. I don't really know why it happened and it was all so sudden. R.I.P Fang :(
Your editing skill has gone up so much lolll
I'm still learning, thank you Stefan!😎
What kind of fish was added ?
What’s that tube you use to feed the frozen food?
It is a coral feeder long syringe tube. I got mine from Amazon.
why the helfrichi firefish looks discolored a bit?
The color looks fine to me, maybe it is the camera?
So much to learn with corals... Ugh.
Xenia can drop heads off that will pop up all over the tank. They can also spawn in the aquarium and lead to babies everywhere. I would never recommend xenia to anyone, novice or expert.
I thing is beauthiful, But-But is growing very fast- 2year and go for everyer, is a pest, is e good for make frag, and seller
