I was thinking the same thing lol glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. When I watch random matches with Mark Henry in recommended, in one video he has the big main event feel where it's like "how do you stop him" where he tanking most hits thrown at him. Then in another it's like "This is a big opportunity for Mark Henry if he wins", which is the type of match where he gets beat by a main eventer pretty quick in like 3 or 5 minutes. And unlike Khali or Jinder where it was just one push then the momentum died, for Mark Henry it was start then stop in random times of the year which is why he never really had a solid rating in svr games despite going head to head with Kurt who usually is the the highest rated in svr games.

Mark Henry was such a beast and didn’t even need many championship runs because he’s already a world champion power lifter and Olympian. His career was pretty above average and I’m glad that he’s now a WWE Hall of Famer and gets his props and respect.
His early career was very rocky and if it was a lesser person it would have killed their career. But not Mark Henry he ended up having a long and successful career with a world heavyweight title run and his Hall of Pain gimmick was his absolute apex. God bless Mark Henry

With the amount of times, Mark got injured it makes sense why WWE opted to make Khali their heel monster champion instead. Mark just got back and he was likely seen as being unreliable to stay healthy. It's a miracle that he didn't get let go at any point.
