I love how the iconic trill passes between the second and first clarinet at 1:05, instead of just being for one or the other. Quartet writing that gives each part a taste of the recognizable parts of a piece is more fun to me (both to play and to listen to!). On that note, it would be so much fun to watch that moment- and the rest of this arrangement- live. I hope that opportunity comes some day :)
Thank you , I appreciate that! I played sax in high school/college and came across many arrangements where we had just the most boring parts throughout... I know it can't always be the case, but I try my best to make sure each part is as enjoyable as possible!
@@jenkinsfamily2229 I read about it somewhere once, but I can't find it unfortunately. I might have been misled, and if so I'm very sorry for continuing that! Still, I wouldn't doubt it, as there is some similarity between the two pieces. Plus they're both awesome.

@@iandeterlingchannel I'm glad to know there are other arrangers who think the same way :))
This piece was the inspiration for Horn of Plenty from The Hunger Games
Cool!

@@iandeterlingchannel Also this quartet is amazing! Great job, hats off to you
Thank you so much!! Out of all the movements from the Nutcracker, this one was the most challenging to arrange!
