You know numerous times I visited the Yreka Western Railroad in the late 70s and early 80s. The #19 was NOT on the property during that time but this engine was. Covered in dust and tucked back in the engine house. Dusty and with a cracked cylinder but protected from weather and vandals. More than once I patted her dusty cab seat and some of the hardware and said "Dont worry old gal. No one is going to let anything bad happen to you and you will have a chance to run again someday!" Came true didn t it?
