Ray Benson , Those days are only on the internet and in our minds , Melton and todays Drivers and Horses are second rate compared to the days of the Showgrounds and The Valley ,Just NOT the same !! Spring Time certainly got carved up. I love Ray Benson's comment at the bell "he's there for a reason can't tell you what it is but I've got a fair idea though". The race was won by a 10 to one chance so maybe they just wanted to stop Teddy!
