19:10 ezreal walked up cause azir was still within enemy vision even in the bush sand soldiers give enemies shared vision with azir if azir is in the bush while soldier isn't they can see you; vice versa if soldiers are in the bush but azir isn't they can see the soldiers thus every time we azir otps recall, we have the habit of shaking off the soldiers before pressing B
31:09 I think he made a misrake harsahoving this wave. He can't get the next one and his team is topaide, so he should freeze and then slowpush into hardpush next when his team can reenter botside. Then he doesnt need to sac the wave for 0 reason
Hi guys I loved the review I was wondering, for us low elo, can you take one of these vods in whichthe allies do not recognize the player as the wincon and then he is the one adapting to the team shenanigans? I think that is something that we can relate, like when the team attempts a dragon with no prio whatsoever in Gold.
You have done an interview with AloisNL. I am wondering if you could try to set up an interview with Coach Chippys? He's top lane specific and focused a lot on the early game and champion mastery.
Besides the quality of play which is fun to watch.. the truth is, you can't expect your teammates to react as jojo's did.. if you are in bronze, silver, gold and you are doing it great, you will probably have a battle of egos where, when you try to make plays as jojo did, when you ping, no one listens, no one follows.. the majority of average players play in autopilot, they will not understand why are you going for a play because they are not actively thinking on what we have to do to win the game..
I have some constructive criticism. The game that was shown was played at a Master level and I think it's very difficult to apply to ELOs below Diamond. I think I had a similar selfish playstyle (which of course wasn't executed nearly as perfectly as in the video), but with that I was hardstuck Platinum 3. I mainly played Orianna and tried to collect all the gold that my team left on the map as efficiently as possible. However, what happens in lower ELOs is that people constantly fight without reason, following the motto: Fighting is fun and there's nothing else to do. Although I had good farm and items, I had no impact on the game because my team basically had to play 4 vs 5. If we were behind, i wanted to farm even more, because fighting is bad, which made the gamestate even worse. If we were ahead we often threw the lead because my team fought without me. I had to change my playstyle. I started playing Taliyah and constantly looked for man advantage fights. I have to leave waves in the sidelane and permanently babysit my team to win fights. Since I changed my playstyle, I've climbed to Emerald 3 with a 65% win rate. tl;dr: I think if you try this in low elo you team just runs you down. www.op.gg/summoners/euw/SKITone-EUW?queue_type=SOLORANKED
its literally just that you're not good enough to carry games in your elo. if you're jojo of course you play selfish and farm everything because ur teammates are all worse than u. If ur a plat player playing selfishly in plat elo chances are ur not better than ur teammates so u should play to help and enable them.
This comment is actually super relevant and I would love to see coach Curtis address it. Sure, Jojo in platinum would win with this playstyle, because even if his teammates do not listen, his level of execution in tf is so much higher than the others in a plat lobby that this is fine. But whether this playstyle is the most optimal one for a player that has emerald potential but is stuck in plat is an open question to me. Sure, you will manage to be well farmed, maybe even more than the fed opponents...but do you have the skill for the sheer execution to 1v9 tfs? Because this is what you will have to do in the majority of games. Communication may help, but let's be realistic about how plat players react to their mate pings.
This is one of the best comments and the most important question. ELO matters and needs different playstyles, sadly. @CoachCurtis what would you do in different ELO's?
Honestly I can understand why they talk about champion mastery and skirmishing so much now. The macro, coms, poise and lull state usage are understandable to me, but looking at the fight bot and the 40 min team fight, they are unfathomable to me. Sometime I roll up to teamfights and it legit feel like and out of body experience. The level of knowledge and execution required to fight like that is insane. Now I really understand why they recommend really simple champions. It is so much easier to just play Veigar and just have rock hard reference points and stupid simple execution instead of having 50 ways to play a fight.
isn't it a mistake to put Jinx mid since she's weaker than Azir? Putting weakest player mid and immediately losing mid T1 tower made the game difficult
to be quite honest though at 11 min you talk about how telling your teammates where to be helps the game. In my experience that is something i wouldnt recomend doing anywhere below master. People really dont like beeing told what to do and get really really tilted by those pings. They want you to ping danger and stuff but do not tell them to leave a wave. And i dont mean ping spams or anything. i truly and honestly had this happen quite regularly of players getting really really mad over a single ping about me catching this wave or "hey i go side you catch mid" and they where instantly "gonna do exactly the opposite now"
challenger elo game? not worth watching. Put this guy on a hardstuck plat or emerald account and watch his high winrate plumet back down to earth. An 'unwinnable ' game in challenger is just a hard game in plat or emerald. You don't even know what unwinnable looks like until your team literally forces a 4v1 forfeit vote at 15 minutes.
Curiosity. Watching your games back and thinking "what could I have done better?" or "hmm, why did that not work?" or "that felt awkward, why is that?" The amount of things you can improve is huge. In his case he also gets help with analysis from pros and other minds helping him dissect this type of stuff. Not being lazy about the game - playing with intensity and really pushing your limits. If you do this for a long time you can become great. Maybe not to this level (again, he had tons of resources poured into him as a pro player) but to a high enough level where you can be super proud of yourself.
Great except jojo isn't in the conversation for the best western mid. There isn't a single aspect of the game he is better than caps at. Not even better quad nevermind caps.
This is really not all to impressive. You guys don’t really explain anything interesting aside from Azir taking advantage of Galio’s coin flip build. I’ve never seen an ADC so conceded to give their midlaner heaps of waves so they can stack gold. Mind you I’m near the same elo. There is no way that his team didn’t fundamentally know that they had a pro player on their team. This is just pointless. Why don’t you do a vod review on one of your actual MLA players live and not recorded after the match is done?
When you open Coach Curtis' channel every single day hoping there's a new video, and there finally is one, the dopamine hit is glorious
Please do many such ‘proview’ reviews of their solo queue games! This was an awesome video!!
Damn shout out to Ahj, really clean and well explained insights bro
id let curtis adopt me
Mysterias upload yesterday and Curtis today!!! Two days my day has been made great by YT 🙏🏻🙏🏻
My god the quality of this content. Thank you guys A LOT!!!
Thing i always think is nice to see is how calm and collected these top players are in teamfights.
Please more, this was one of the most educational videos to solo q, kudos
40:09 AJ turning into a bunch of oscillating multicolored bars was so funny 😂
Curtis is my father. Thanks for everything you teach us!
21:12 “Let Azir scale” very rare to see
For some reason, when Ahj's cam glitches, it was funny af
Great vid hopefully u can make more high soloq reviews

I didn't know about this guy until he went to mad lions
would be cool if we could get one for ADC, i feel like we are the most emotional vulnerable roles because fundamentally the role relies on the team.
more jojopyun vod reviews please
He STAND PROUD
Nice video Curtis
More of these!
Hi guys
I loved the review

ppl do this playstyle with 90%+ winrate through ur elo man, it's a skill issue
@@soul0172 yeah you basically need to play perfectly every teamfight and abuse that gold/xp advantage u got from collecting all those resources

Is there any way to fix the minimap so we can see where his teammates are? For instance we can't see the Leona is hovering at 7:55 until you tell us.
Great vid tho!
It was a VOD from Jojo's stream where he has map cover enabled, they sadly can't do anything about that
Curtis is the GOAT
Tnx a lot for this content
Please can you do same thing to Nemesis
glazing jojo for 44min pog
Can you do one on Srtyy? highest LP reached on NA
Is tla and mla the same subscription?
great video
Can you do general sniper korean adventure next?
he does it by being late to every practice
what is his op name?
isn't it a mistake to put Jinx mid since she's weaker than Azir? Putting weakest player mid and immediately losing mid T1 tower made the game difficult
Watching from Arg coach
When your team is stubborn and don't want to listen. There's no point to all of this, and it's completely fine, not all games are winnable.

Good bait
How did jojopyun learn how to do all this stuff on his own?
People have wonderful minds. There is no explanation that could be formed other than maybe trail and error and trying to improve.
Curiosity.
