Thank you so much, this was really frustrating and I could not figure it out. Also thank you for getting straight to the point and not wasting our time with an unnecessarily long video.
Thank you!! I use bullet points to organize EVERYTHING and when they suddenly stopped indenting on my work computer, I started to panic. So glad I found this video and the fix was so simple. You’re a life saver!
Thank you, Leon; you're a lifesaver! It stopped working for me all of a sudden while I was lesson planning, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out the issue.
Hi leon! When i press tab, it goes to the next section of the table still instead of indenting to the next bullet level. The box is still checked to set indent with tabs or backspaces. What else might it be? Thank you and your video is very consise i like it
If your cursor is inside a table, then the tab key is always used to jump to the next cell. Try using CTRL + TAB. This is basically the function for using TAB inside a table.
Hello, I tried this method but I still cannot resolve this issue. Now, when I click tab it goes through all of the bullet and number formats but does not indent. Any suggestions?
Hello! Thank you for the video. I'm encountering a weird issue - this box is checked and I still can't seem to indent my bullet lists with tab. Is there another feature that might be preventing me from using tab to indent these like normal?
I honestly can't think of one. Just make sure that your bullet list really is a bullet list, meaning the list function is activated ("Home" tab, "Paragraph" section). Not that you just have bullet characters in your text.
Glad I could help :) I wouldn't think that this is a document level setting, but just in case, you could try activating it in the Normal.dotm file. Maybe it will then stay activated.
I have been avoiding youtube because it always a 15 minute video of blah-blah to do a simple thing. This is perfect, the best youtube i've seen for 5 years.
Really annoying! I dont know since when it stopped working. But I found solution that it is CTRL+M Indent a paragraph from the left. CTRL+SHFT+M Remove a paragraph indent from the left.
If this video helped you, you could do me an awesome favor and destroy that like button 😍🙌 Thanks a lot!

So you’re saying the bullets stay at 0cm indentation? Even if you cycle through the other levels?
