this is my 1st time seeing them this serious in playing violin because in their yt videos they really joke around saying they are not good but actually, they are amazing musicians..
It's just a case of how the better you get the more you realise how much there is to learn, and how the real cream of the crop are just so far ahead of "normal good musicians".
I thought that the choking was supposed to represent Paganini having tuberculosis. Then I found out it was some of the hair from the wig got into his mouth. LOL
As a pianist page-flipping is rlly hard, you need to find a way to skip notes where it's not obvious, or find a place where there's a rest/pause and memorize the rest of the page... That's what I do
dunno if this is accidental or not but i love that the paganini side is red light and brett side is blue light like the pepsi vs coke ad that they reacted around 2 years ago
I think the funniest thing about the "Liszt, is that you?" line is that the year they are depicting is actually the year that Liszt was born, so even if he WERE somehow there, he wouldn't have been more than 2 months old. But "mUsIcAl GeNiUsEs ArE bOrN, nOt CrEaTeD", so...
there is truth to that line though. That 10,000 hours stuff you hear has been proven to be kinda bullcrap. A bunch of psychologists took that idea and did research into it and basically found that hard work, while important, pales in comparison to talent. They took a bunch of people in professions that required skill (music, chess, etc) and found that some of the top people practice way less than some of the less talented ones who are "at the same level". Some people are literally just built different and are born for it unfortunately.
@@aryanjoshi3342 in what planet did I say it’s in a year? I was supporting the line geniuses are born not created. @@deathendz Sure, there's some truth to it (and Liszt definitely falls under the category of natural-born talent), but I'm afraid you've missed the point. The last sentence of my original comment was a direct reference to an earlier Twoset video that regular viewers would immediately recognize ( th-cam.com/video/Jy-6-niIx-Y/w-d-xo.html ). That part was only meant to be a joke.
1) being in awe of the accompanist midperformance is better than thanking them, but still thank them 2) great arrangement, Jordan. Thank you 3) no one clapped immediately at the end of the piece and it felt so good. This community is the best 4) thank you for sharing, guys. Y'all are a match made in heaven. We love everything you do.
It was a virtual tour so there was no in-person audience besides their crew to clap at their performance. But either way, I’m 1000% sure there were loud applauses in many homes while watching this
This arrangement is insane. This is definitely something I have to play on my violin before I die, but for that I have to practice 40 hours x day And my Bretty did it sooooooo good!!!!!
I feel like reading the comments to my view this is meant to be a comedic performance, just for the fun. They are TH-camrs who mostly meme around with videos and playing music you can tell yes they can play very well. The point in this doesn’t seems to be as much of playing “correctly” but just sharing interests in classical music while laughing about it. They don’t have to be 100% accurate, that at the end of the day is not the only reason and for the most part people watch them for humor not just intonation and the correct key and what not. Just laugh and enjoy their content.
And also, some people need to realize that Caprice 24 is considered one of Violin's hardest piece EVER! Like, sure their intonation is very far from perfect, but this shit is HAAAARRRD. And they still pull it off to the point you want to keep listening, hat's off to them.
I love how Brett and Eddy got together and tried to like push each other. (Comment if you get what I mean). That made a funny part! :D It's great that an ordinary guy won with Paganini
I'm new to twoset and I thoroughly enjoy your youtubes. You make me smile and laugh at your antics. I would love to see your live performance. Also would like to see more of Brett performing. Thanks for sharing. 😊

Yes. I agree. I saw them from another channel, but now it's become private, so I can't re-watch. I'd like to see the beginning and end segments (if available.) Thanks!
Eddy was doing some Americas got talent style stuff, and then they started talking about how the world has lost its love and passion for music and musicianship. Then "Hillary Hahn" called and said there was a boba time warp thing that could help them get magical LingLing stones from 4 time periods in the past. If all 4 stones would be collected then musicality would return to the present day. So they drank bubble tea to qctivate the machine and get sent back to get stones from musical giant figures in history.
the ending... . . . . . . Eddy was actually posing as HH. Once all the stones were acquired, he destroyed the stones bc he liked Americas got talent style stuff and wanted it to be like that FOREVER. Brett got mad so he drank the final tea and decided to live in the past. Then Brett by some deus ex machina quality found a 5th stone, returned to present and made up with Eddy, who finally saw value in true musicality. 👍
