This is such a beautiful song. It's about two people learning to love each other not in in spite of their demons, but in an effort to fight them together. So much of love is working on yourself, trying to be better. And it's scary going into a relationship when it looks like you're a mess and they're perfect. Her Watsky is telling his lover that it's ok, they're not so different after all, and they both deserve to be loved through their hardships.
This song gives me chills every time I listen to it. I adore the poetic imagery this song evokes and the flow of the fourth verse. I live for the line "If the price of life is hell-Well no one ever had to sell me on how nice a fire smells." UGH, so good!

I’ve never had a song connect with me so deeply until I heard this, I’ve been going through a very difficult time mentally for the past year and listening to this makes me feel like I’m not alone. Some of the lines almost exactly describe what I’ve been going through to the point where I’d skip the song when it would come up on my playlist because it’d upset me when I heard it. Now I realize it’s meant to address the listener, about how you need to grow up and accept help from others even when you don’t want to, and that you should let yourself be loved. Watsky has a way of making you feel like you’re in his shoes but like he’s a more knowledgeable (although still fucked up) version of yourself at the same time. So glad to know there is more on the way, Its nice to see you posting more on twitter hyping up stuff like this, always worth the wait I am yet to dislike any of your music (been a fan for many years now). The same can't be said for 99% of artists who fall into the trap of making something people 'want' to hear and not what the artist believes in.

I really hope George knows how much his music means to us. He’s a lyrical and musical genius and I consider myself lucky to have stumbled across him a few years ago. He is a seriously underrated artist.
