Ottawa here - The Canal was in fact closed all year this year.. it is a great time though, so hopefully it is open next year. Also.. shout out to the letter C - it has never been more important than it is in the word canal
Yep. I live in Ottawa and my family does an outdoor rink, weather was terrible for it this year. The Canal didn’t open for the first time since like 1982 or something like that

Canal did not open at all in Ottawa, and we just keep getting icy weather - like, can't open the door of your car icy. Some outdoor rinks opened but were mostly kept up by local parents. By the way, it was the first time the Canal did not open to skating in its 52 year existence.

I’m an ottawanian and the canal has been closed whole year but every year normally I go to it. When you go to the canal, remember to bring your wallet so you could get a nice beaver tail
