Sounds to me like you’ve set something up very wrong. We switched to all PP for the planter and combine 3 years ago and have loved every aspect of it. Data integration has been flawless. Looking very hard at installing symphony on our sprayer this winter as our dealer has a system for us if we want it
Thanks for the Information, We've been looking at adding some precision components to our planter. I have yet to hear great things about the Gen 3 monitors. Very glitchy, from what I've heard. If we do precision, I'm considering using a Gen 2 monitor. I know you want to document things with Climate FieldView, and you've already bought the AgLeader, but you might want to look into Loup Elite yield and planter monitor. You can use the same monitor in both the combine and planter to document for a fraction of the cost of AgLeader.
Sorry to that this was your experience-there is now a cloud connection between the Gen3 and Climate. It will also send data to other Precision Ag software companies e.g. JD Ops Center
In 2015 I made the biggest mistake of my farming career, I bought into the precision planting hype. Nothing but problems. I spend more hours and days sitting on the headland begging my planter to work than actually planting. I have lost literally ten of thousands of dollars in delayed planting because of my bad decision to go with precision. I am in the process of stripping my planter and returning back to original equipment. My advise to anyone thinking of switching to PP, don't do it !!!!!!!!!
@@Börcsök_András I'm switching my planter back to original equipment. John Deere has always made a great planter and I've learned the hard way if it's not broke, don't fix it. The only one making money on precision planting parts is precision planting.
throw field view in the trash! wont need it with ag leader. get agfinity and sms basic dont understand how people still have field view when agleader is a thing. 100% flawless system. best monitor on the market. new john deere gen 5s are nice too. but sms is far superior to ops center.
Common issue with farmers around here too. PP monitor and FV losing random data. Some whole fields, some parts of fields. Not good

Wow! That is shocking and horrible! I’m sorry you had to go through that. Completely unacceptable!

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'll be following your conversion to agleader. Don't have either right now.
Appreciate being able to help. I will try and do a comparison of the planter system soon

We were told about that but was still kinda unsure. We decided to go to ag leader. They seem tried and true when it comes to the data management side

I hate mine wish I would have went with other, glitches, software updates, junk!
Yes, and its a really tough financial pill to swallow to change companies
Your problem is FieldView, it's junk. Stop trying to view your precision planting data on fieldview.
Right. But at the time there wasn't another way to view it. We were completely dependent on field view

After running ag leader for a year I 100% agree.
