Me and you had the same thought! I’m just gonna write something about this story since I’m bored.
The rumors stirred about the mafia. There were not many rumors around due to fearing the wrath of “The Butterfly”, but when there was one it circulated quickly. And there was one consistent one, The Butterflies top general, around nearly since the beginning. Nobody that high up ever lasts long so it was a surprise to every new recruit who was whispered in the ear.
They called “The Chaos.” No person has ever seen him(and comes back alive) but if anyone even utters the name everyone flinches back in fear. By what they’ve heard he loyal serves The Butterfly and she favors him above the others in the ranks. Of course, no one knows he actually is. Most don’t even know who The Butterfly is, and if they do they do not generally live long afterwards.
The Chaos is a man named Discord. He’s the manager of the animal shelter in town and the one that soon got taken over by Fluttershy. He was new to town but almost instantly understood some organization was controlling this place. Discord had to flee from a different organization which is why he figured it out so quickly.
He didn’t dare utter a word but with Fluttershys skills of detecting people just as soon had him in a room alone with her siting at a table. The pair at first could not stand each other; Discords chaos and Fluttershys urge to control would not blend. She had nearly shot him multiple times and once even considered sending him for experimentation. But she needed bodies and he needed protection.
In time she learned how to handle him and he learned how to stay on her good side. They both co-run the animal shelter and deal with the other kind of animals. One of them will watch from the civilian perspective and the other will hunt, the inverse being true the next day.
Some recruits refuse to believe even the little information they are whispered, but the one or two who know their voice and live do not dare utter a word against either. The ones who survive know better.

My poison suggestion for twilight: strychnine. It's an anticoagulant used most often in rat poison, though there it's mixed with ultrafine shards of glass to induce internal bleeding. It has a white, powdery texture, and a mildly sweet taste, which would make it easy to disguise- just say it's powdered sugar, or put it in a dissolvable capsule
Anticoagulants are also a useful deterrent for fighting, since any injury you get takes longer to clot, and longer to heal. They can contribute to nosebleeds, causing the fine blood vessels of the nose to burst more easily and with more blood- and, they make for very dramatic head wounds (head wounds already bleed a lot- if you can't clot well, they bleed more)

Why do I feel like Pinkie would own the most popular casino in that town along with lavish parties since she is known to love parties, along with in the show she is friends with everyone, I feel like be in charge of some businesses ran by the mafia, like in public her hair is all poofy and she's all bubbly, but when she's doing a job for fluttershy, her hair would be straight and she'd look like a crazy killer, like her pinkamena look in the show. Maybe to a reference to her main creepypasta she'd prefer to wield a chainsaw, as a character once said 'chainsaws and fun and messy"

Fluttershy's cold stare in her close up really fits with her stare in mlp.
My poison suggestion is the hellebore flower as a tea as it was used in ancient time to poison a town through their water sources. Symptoms are Vomiting, Slow heart rate, Difficulty breathing, Diarrhea, Drooling, Lethargy and Weakness. The tea option is so Twilight can serve it to Rarity or have someone that works with her to watch Rarity to give her the tea to drink.

I am obsessed with the redesigns oh my goodness. And Fluttershy being the mafia boss is actually such a good ideas because as you said no-one would ever suspect someone as kind or as sweet as her. And RARITY. Actually obsessed with her sparkly dress and her fashion style. And twilight looks so unhinged and I love how she’s basically a mad scientist in this. And the expressions I was genuinely scared of Fluttershy and Twilight because they both look so menacing. Great job!!

Wasn't expecting an explanation on Twilight's hair, but I'm actually really glad to see an artist make an active effort to diversify and be more inclusive with their designs and depictions of characters. I absolutely love your designs so I'd be happy to see what you can come up with for the future. (Maybe with Pinkie Pie)
Also, for someone who didn't really watch the show that much you got a pretty good read on the characters and the stories are actually pretty fitting for the AU. I also love the designs and the nods to their canon counterparts.

Aaaaaaaand Apple Jack and her family own most of the products of the town, from vegetables to meat and other products. Here in brazil, there is a thing called cricket scheme (esquema do grilo), in which farmers would use crickets to wear out documents and make them look like the right owner of the lands. You should search about it, it's really interesting.

imagine fluttershy and rarity having a "conversation" where they "talk" about their deals and agreements while secretly-but-not-secretly blackmailing each other.
I like how you made Fluttershy a villain by making The Stare and her occasional moments of smothering intensity her primary personality. There are moments that hint at Fluttershy being more controlling and manipulative than she lets on, so I could definitely see this version working especially if she rationalizes it as keeping "bad people" in line.
7:21 I do like the subtle detail of her hands being behind her back. At face value it’s simply a cute pose, but it also gives the implication that she’s hiding something.

My suggestion for the rarity: is that her blood easily clots cuz of stress and anxiety although she doesn’t know this herself due too the fact that she’s lived in a constant state of stress for so long, and the due to this she appears calm but a bit eccentric she is a fashion designer after all, doctors have had a really hard time with finding the cause for the clotting only ending up with a slightly irregular heart beat sense every test they do is when she’s “relaxed” aka sleept for more then an hour in preparation for the appointment but twilight “finds a small problem with her heart valv” this of course isn’t real and she gives her blood thinners in two different colour pills saying it’s two different medications when in actuality it’s edoxaban the common side effects of edoxaban, tiredness and lack of energy, shortness of breath, noticeable heartbeats (heart palpitations) and paler than usual skin
Feeling dizzy or light-headed
Feeling or being sick (nausea or vomiting)
Stomach pain and indigestio
She has taken blood thinners before but they haven’t really worked due to how severe the clotting is but twilight is giving her a higher dosage then she should be taking because twilight wants to test how much blood thinner she can take and still keep rarity alive and acting normal (the clotting doesn’t stop completely but now she might have one or two clots over a 4 month period instead of 1-2 a week)additionally I think twilight might be making blood thinners as well in her lab for rarity to keep her in line slowly mixing her version in to stop the clotting but keep the side effects essentially making her one of twilight test subjects i feel she also gives rarity a variety of her own drugs as well sense she wants to test them on a live person most of her other gunnies pigs are either dead deform or pumped full of other meds but rarity is slowly becoming one of twilights favourite subjects sense she is a challenge she needs to keep rarity alive cuz she’s one of the biggest money launderer fluttershys has and what funds the majority of her lab and fluttershys shelter

I never thought these girls would be villains, but the storytellings and motives did it for me! I love their designs so much! Rarity’s flair, Fluttershy’s unhinged appearance, and Twilight’s insanity really sets the tone! I would love to see the remaining cast! I enjoyed watching this!
I love the subtle touch of twilights color swatches to be all over her page opposed to how rarity's and flutter's are grouped together. It really brings twilight's chaotic look more forward.
Twilight might use crushed up gold and put it in rarity's food, it makes someone very ill and is not detected in any tests unless you know what to look for. I dont know about any other symptoms it causes, but it dounds cool, and runs along with "no docters can ever agree on what she has or how to help" :3
Though I also never really got into MLP, im OBSESSED with the many many redesigns the fandom has made. And these are honesty up in my top faves. Cannot get enough of the glitz and glam of Rarity. The little bit of blood feels so ominous against all her glitter and gold and *hair that I wanna drink in my morning coffee goddamn.* And the juxtaposition of fluttershy being cutesy but cruel is perfect. I love that her look isnt *just* soft fluffy lolita style but also has those vague militaristic inspo with the structured jacket & hat. And TWILIGHT!? Girl can experiment on me any day. Ive got plenty of health issues, little regard for my safety, and a love of crazy, smart ladies! Her expression in the closeup is amazing, and I love the design of her lab coat- still very Lab and Professional but also stylish & more interesting than plain white. Theyre all fuckin fantastic, seriosuly!

oh. you made them humans. honestly pretty cool, i honestly love it and wish these villains were in a espionage sort of show, but here's my brony take on these characters as villains in an AU: rarity is the changeling queen instead of chrysalis, fluttershy is discord (for thematic reasons, not for her personality, but i imagine she calls herself "the spirit of nature" and wants to kill all ponies and let nature take over the world) and twilight as the corrupted form of an alicorn like nightmare moon or daybreaker.
Nobody is safe from mlp >:D love the show it's a comfort and the main characters and their relationships is the best part easily
One of the things I also really like about Fluttershy’s butterfly hair jewelry is the fact that in a way it kind of looks like a broken halo, which is also adds to her nature where she presents as this angelic being but actuality she’s not

I would like to think that twilight is just as powerful as fluttershy, just in a different way. Twilight could make a move to take fluttershy out, but she doesn’t solely because Fluttershy is the one keeping her from getting caught

I feel as if Spike is Twilight's very young intern, she saved his life when he was younger so he's very loyal to her. He sort of keeps her grounded, he's also more physically able and subdues subjects and does all the heavy lifting.
She is fond of him, and I'm imagining funny moments where he has to remind her to like... Act normal?
(ex. "Twi, stop looking at 'em like that. They can practically read all the things you're gonna put them through before we even get them knocked out.")
I was thinking about the poison and may I suggest Thallium? The symptoms do include nosebleeds and its super hard to notice since it has no smell, color or taste. It is also SUPER rare so nobody really.. thinks about it? The doctors usually test for literally anything else before they even think about Thallium. The symptoms include hair falling out so that might give Rarity a huge anxiety about it and make her disease look like its caused by stress.. I think that even though its super rare, with Fluttershys influence itd be okay to find.
Also.. a rare poison?? For *Rarity*??? I think its perfect

Uhh my humble onion, it would make a lot of sense if Twilight was using makeup to weaken Rarity. It could be a gift from Fluttershy, or just slipped in. Rarity doesn't need to know ykykyk. Very lovely designs, I want to put them in my mouth for safe keeping. :)
I really love the take on Fluttershy here! The idea of her being a Mob Boss underneath her usual exterior is genuinely really cool.

This started out as a short little idea dump but now it's really long, so these are ideas I had for the remaining 3 ponies... Pinkie's is my favorite idea
Rainbow Dash could fit in pretty well as a bodyguard for Fluttershy/a hitman (or hitwoman I guess) who used to have high hopes for making it as an athlete, but something happened that threw all of that out the window. Maybe she was injured or blacklisted, maybe even due to something steroid/drug related, which could lead to Twilight making/distributing drugs to her to control and manipulate her and keep her in the mafia. She's a powerful force, incredibly athletic and hard-headed, and she isn't afraid to talk a big game even to people who are very dangerous. The others don't doubt that she could put up a good fight if she ever tried to rebel, but they all know deep down that she won't... outside of the group she is alone in the world with few friends and no close family, and wouldn't have anywhere to go or any meaningful goal to pursue anyway. Behind her tough facade she's not really living for anything (At least that's what she believes at her core)
Applejack could be another money launderer probably, maybe her store selling apples/pastries could just be a front for a greater scheme with the mafia. Maybe Flutters threatens her family or something, or her family falls on hard times and she has to resort to underhanded methods to get back above the line and save her family's business. Her family and their business are thriving, she has every reason to be happy and be living comfortably, but for some reason she looks chronically stressed, always looking over her shoulder, constantly under pressure to make the mafia/gang more money while she's just getting further and further into debt. Her family, or at least most of them, don't know what's happening (maybe until it's too late.)
And Pinkie Pie could be the rogue serial killer that they're all trying to kill but she somehow keeps evading their attempts. She is not affiliated with the mafia at all, and kills whoever she wants, is a master at covering up her tracks, disguising herself, manipulating people into believing she's innocent, and despite their efforts they just can't seem to wipe her out - the number one thorn in their sides. I just love the idea of Pinkie being the chaotic opposing force to the structured, controlled hierarchy of this mafia setup. And that would leave you with a great opener to a story! :D
I personally can't wait to see applejack and rainbow dash's roles in this universe and how you might design them.
Ok so, as far as I've read and researched (I'm autistic and obsessed with medicine ok? this is my thing), excessive levels of insulin on the body will cause you sickness and dizziness, high blood pressure (leading to nosebleeds) and intense tiredeness. As insulin is a "natural" body-produced protein, it doesn't show up in analytics or blood tests. It can be administrated via pills, or for more efectiveness, injected under your tongue ( i know this could be hard to explain to Rarity, but i bet Twilight would figure something out). It can also make you have hypoglucemic peaks, which basically are episodes where you may faint or even have seizures. These happen when too much insulin is administrated to the body, this then causes your blood cells to "absorb" too much sugar, leaving you with dangerously low blood sugar levels.
And yeah, that's everything i have to say about that. Hope you might find it useful for your lore hehehe

I love all of them, Flutrer Shy being my favorite. This is a really refreshing twist on the, "evil mane six" trope. I also love your art, especally the different shapes for the color swatches.
Suggestion for Apple Jack. Well, more like one for the Apple family as a whole. They run a monopoly on fruit, sider, jam, and zap apple production. Their family is spread out all across Equestria, allowing them to control the entire market, making enough money to pay off, or simply dispose of, anyone who chalanges them.
Just keeping this for me incase I wanna see these again!

It's nice that you're trying out different black hairstyles, but you could also draw black people with straight/slightly straight hair, cause some of us, like myself straighten our hair with relaxer and it's perfectly normal in my area. You could draw non straight or straight hair on black characters, just don't stress yourself too much about it
It's like Fluttershy is a wolf in sheep's clothing. That's the vibe it gives her if she was a villian
I imagine discord in this au would be either
A. fluttershy's bodyguard
B. the person who taught fluttershy everything.
C. her husband.
rarity just being a pawn feels like such a disservice to her character. she's the only one of the mane 6 who canonically manipulated other characters to do her bidding on MULTIPLE occasions. she seems like an artifical fashionista on the surface, but she's actually very sly and intelligent (as proven in her detective episode). i think she'd use her looks and damsel in distress persona to swiftly and ruthlessly cut her way to the top, dethrone one of the higher-ups, and take their place for herself. she'd definitely have her own cult-like following within the mafia who are loyal exclusively to her because she's just THAT good at worming her way into people's hearts and convincing them that yes, she does care about you, oh so very much, now will you please go and do her dirty work for her?
but anyway, that's just my take. the design is still very cool for sure!

I can imagine fluttershy using applejack as a kind of disposal for the bodies, and the reason Mac doesn't talk is because fluttershy had his throat slit bit still kept him alive because his size strength was useful

My only note would have been the hairtstyles thing for POC, but you adressed and aknowledged that already, so no notes! I hope you'll find it in you to do the other 3 Ponies too!

For pinkie pie can we use the concept of her original creepy pasta, cupcakes? A basic summary of it is that pinkie pie runs a bakery and she uses the meat of her neighbours to achieve that perfect taste.

My favorite is 100% fluttershy, and for the other half of the mane 6, I imagine pinky pie has something to do with poison gas. Like filling up her balloons with harmful gasses? I feel Apple jack would be like head of the agents in the mafia, considering they work on a farm they'd be quite strong. Rainbow dash should have something to do with sports cars, idk I'm out of ideas

love your designs, love evil characters, you should have Fluttershy fed whoever wrongs her to her animal, that feels like something an evil Fluttershy would do, there's also the idea that Discord was the original head of the mod and Fluttershy got close to him under the guise of someone sweet and innocent but then when he let his guard down she killed him and now she's the boss (just a thought)
