Matt Damon is a great talent, and doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. Awesome sense of humor and great impression of his actor bud.
My cousin met him and hung out a bit. He said Matt is really friendly and funny, easygoing, and cool.

OK. Raise your hands. How many people thought the impression would involve "All right. All right. All right!" but were surprised and delighted when it didn't?
I thought so too, but they kept going on about his shirt being off so I figured it was something else.
Well even though he said it in Dazed and Confused, his Oscar win was what made it famous and that happened way after this interview (this is 2006).
Hmmm? Oh sorry, was just busy taking our shirt off.
Nope I came here for it and was disappointed that there was no "Alright Alright Alright"😂 I even forwarded to peek....but none and I am sad (God dammit). But Matt Damon continues to impress me.

This may have been his best time as an actor too, I feel. He was really good at the more introverted roles, like Good Shepherd and even Bourne in a way... projecting power with silence.

Finally, I can be one of those people who say “I was at that show!” It was a fun experience, but took up so much of the day waiting in about 3 different lines at 3 different times! Barbara Walters was the other guest.

Woah! GREAT show to have seen in person! Babs was classic.
Different strokes. Funny moment, but you'd have to pay me a LOT for the hassle of being there in person. I just got to see it ( in better video and audio ) for free from the comfort of my bed.
I enjoyed this after an interview she’s so down to earth and regular I can’t get enough
I remember watching this at the time, and TO THIS DAY I still randomly pop off in hot weather - "...Probably get more chicks if we took our shirts off.".
This habit is sure to lead to weird and wonderful adventures.
It's always great when Dave would so obviously love some little thing that a guest would do and then make them do it every time they were on the show. I saw this when it aired and I'm pretty sure he made Matt do it every time after. I also would love whenever Rosie Perez was on and her would make her say, "Izuzu Trooper." And, of course, Kevin Spacey always had to do Carson.

Never heard of anybody describing their wedding ceremony "Getting it over with". Lol.
if you would ask every married person you meet, I bet you'd hear it a lot. I was happy to get it over with. Many people want to be married, but have zero interest in a wedding. Nothing wrong with that. It's the people who are excited about the wedding, but not real interested in the marriage, that are in trouble.
My husband and I did the same thing. Just one of my step-sons was our witness. We did it on the spur of the moment to keep his mom from taking over our wedding. It was the second one for both of us and we were in our 40's. We did have a kick ass reception about a month later though!
He actually said "nipped it in the bud"😂
