- Some minutes of studio session whit my mate. The proposed live is the result of an improvisation and a desire to be fucked off by my neighbors. listen at very high volume.
Analog four for main kick and some percussion, the other A4 plays leads and basses, digitakt for snare and various cymbals hats, digitone for auxiliary kicks, high pass effects and sfx. a live full of mistakes, a blind live. what a power.

Wht sister?
Would you consider to make a tutorial on the analog four at some point? I really am wondering to find out, how you synthesized the insane kicks!

Bro, im so busy , i prefer do techno
33:00 yess , fucking cool oldschool vibes !
Hey man im ravin to ya every day. It‘s like a rule on this planet that italians have fat sound and nice Rhytm.
Thank you bro 👌✌️
Agreed 100% Italian's got the style
I agree! And so do those of us from Detroit 😊
Les anciens j'ai 43 ans et ça me rappelle les putian de teuf en France et en Italie autour de 2001
Ha, nice relentless set! Very "1996-sounding" which is always a good thing :)
I'd have guessed this was out of Belgium and not Italy, though! When I lived in Firenze (from California) as a student in spring of 1995 it was mostly handbag and leftover Italo in the clubs. A local in Cinqueterra took me to a tiny (yet proper) techno beach party, but that's as good as it got in my 4-month stay in Italia.
incredible ! Great kick sound design with the A4 !
Honestly I'm usually not a huge fan of the A4, but you totally changed my mind with this jam
unfortunately dickheads like cuckoo and bobeats make us have the wrong idea of the potential of the machines, pushing them only towards one type of sound . as versatile as the analog four is I decided to double it in my set up, and use one as a drum machine the results are these, deep and extremely versatile kicks, maybe a little repetitive hats and a little loud snares, but with the A4 kick my room shakes 😂
@@heavyritualdivision472 Ha ha classic comment.. Love the analog four and the Analog keys is my master keyboard!

J'adore ce que vous faites les gars ! 👍
Thank you bro, i know you, drum and bass killer with octa, right?
magnifico ragazzi
Does the distortion for the kick come from the A4 itself? Or do you use outboard disto?
From itself bro ✌️
@@heavyritualdivision472 ok cool 😎 it's like a feedback circuit no?
No bro the kick is in t1 of master main. distortion and punchy sound take place thanks to the two disorsion and high pass filters (with a nice resonance) and envelopes on the pitch, the kick is in beat, and in upbeat there are parameter locks (marked yellow on the sequencer) always on the kick in which the pulse width is higher, to give it the low back
if you give me your contact I'll show you 👌

Insane guys !!!
I've been listening to your live shows for several days on the way to work and I love it!! I can't wait to add an analog elektron to my setup and ask you for advice ;)
Good luck guys and see you soon in my ears! :)

nice work !!!
I made a ducking versus in my room with my digitakt full of samples and my Korg es2 keep youp bpm at circular numbers so i can have fun like we are in front of thousands of people

@@heavyritualdivision472 He told you thats a strong set and hes willing to get the mk2 elektron devices :D

Loading a session theese days bro
super sick. I have a digitakt and digitone, and I'm looking to sell all my semi-modulars to fund an A4. DT, DN and TWO A4's however is an unbeatable setup 🙌🙌
Don't sell stuff. Just wait until you have the $. Keep the modular to sample into the digitakt.
Really dentro sella neve you gear
really good! how do you make that drum kick in the analog four?please explain it, its so tight!
sure bro, this weekend we have little time because we have to play, as soon as I'm free I'll explain it to you calmly 👌✌️
❤️❤️❤️👍
When does elektron hire these two guys?? :)

Really cant remember😆🫠
woooow
Work and Progress , a la bien, manque de changement de Bpm pour ma part
For me too, it not perfect dude
Hey, how did you do the side chain on the bass? Was it an envelope/trigger in the A4 or was just done in a DAW?
Hi bro, kick and bass come from the same T1 of the analog four below, which has yellow triggers in backbeat to the kick. in these yellow triggers I change the various parameters of the kick, for example pitch or overdrive etc.
The audio is recorded from audacity, no daw
The mix is basically a (sans console) '90s 2-buss live approach, and not a heavily-automated 2020s studio production with VST processing on every track.
There's little in the instrumentation that demands de-masking in the potentially 'muddy' 120-500Hz region , to begin with.
Half the the bass parts are on the upbeat, so no bother on those. The other half (any with sustained bass notes overlapping a kick) can get by with an inverted and synced (to 1/4note) LFO->VCA on the bass track. DIstorted kicks tend to poke through and dominate transient processing at any stage of a mix, too.
Hello. From were do you come From ? ??
Super sound cool. Thank you.

absolutely love this! do you have soundcloud?
did you use internal samples for your bass drum or did you upload samples to your elektron devices? i want to buy a elektron analog rytm mk2 or a roland tr-8s but cannot decide which I should buy :)
Thanks bro❤️ the bass drum is not a sample, it comes from the analog four… analog four is the most underrated elektron, but can be a powerfull drum machine, especially for the kick and the tom ….i sold my rythm and replace it with a second analog four.. no remorse ,i love my analog 8
@@heavyritualdivision472 Thanks for your answer. I never produced music so I do not know what I should buy. I thought I will buy an analog rytm mkII because I can do anything with it if I know how to operate it. As well I need a sampler because I want to sample a few parts from movies I love. I was also eyeing on an analog heat mk2 together with the rytm => what do you think about that combination? Once I am familiar with the rytm I thought I will buy some synthesizers including the four mk2.
@@Procc23 since you have never produced music, you have to choose between many paths. if you choose the elektron way I recommend it especially if you want to play them in a live context. they also have an overbridge, which allows you to plug them into your daw. obviously the rytm is a very powerful machine, i had it but love didn't start with me. I don't find the combination of an analog heat with rytm necessary, since rytm has an on-board overdrive which is fantastic.
@@Procc23 the difference between a rytm and a digitakt is that in the rytm, in addition to being able to load samples, you have analog engines dedicated to drums, pads for finger drumming (which are really too hard) and many buttons dedicated to live performance. my two cents are that such a high price is not justified for a drum machine. I took mine, and shortly after, accustomed to the depth of the analog four, I sold it and with the proceeds I bought another analog four. less immediate to use as a drum machine, but much deeper. my humble opinion, being new to this world, is to buy yourself a digitakt plus analog heat and work with the samples, especially if you don't want to study sound synthesis .... if instead you want to invest time, I highly recommend an analog four combined with a digitakt , so you can sample the sounds you synthesize from the A4 directly into the digitakt, good music bro. let me know how it goes
@@heavyritualdivision472 Thanks for your in-depth answer, I really appreciate it! After 1 week nonstop researching I am still quite undecided what exactly I should buy, but for me the Elektron devices are the most interesting. Because you are from Italy I want to ask you, how do Italians host free partys at the moment after Meloni enforced an anti rave law?

I love it my bro, really apperciate your support
C'est le digitakt et le digitone qui fait se genre de son.. cherche plus de DJ qui mix avec se genre de machine ou avec syntakt ou octatrack
En gros t'aimes les machines de chez Elektron

True story man, its just a studio session. Nothing special 🫠

You do this with the factory sounds?
Very nice work men! I'm going to buy one soon then!! 😅
Thank you very much for the information, I will come back to you when I have it at home 😉
@@CalvInTheDarkness between, I synthesized them and saved them in the synth library together with the sounds I sculpted over time. Unfortunately you can't find such hard kicks in the analog four sound packs. But if you want i can exploit the kick
