I haven't read any of the books that you mentioned here but, i would love to read NOS4A2. I have been curious to read a book by Stephen King's son. It would be interesting to read that. I have read I Robot and I enjoyed that. In fact I plan on reading it again soon.
I hope you enjoy them. It looks like you have made some good choices. I'm surprised you didn't take in that new book smell. New books and new cars have a wonderful smell.
It is funny to me being an American hearing you talk about the cost in pounds. If you got a lot of money at one time, it sounds like you need a cart to get the money home. Happy reading!

I enjoyed Joe Hills short story collection but it was a bit hit or miss, there was a baseball story that went completely over my head.
The new book smell was savoured after the video haha.
I've never thought of that, I bet our currency could confuse people with pound also being a unit of weight. We just like getting value out of our words over here, 1 word, several meanings 🤣

Great unboxing! I think you will love NOS4A2! Boys In The Valley is on my tbr, and I have also heard great things about the book. I "attempted" to play The Witcher but have not read the books. Happy Reading!

Evening Cliff and thank you, it was pretty fun doing an unboxing video. I'm really looking forward to the 2 horror novels in my haul, it will be good to read more of Joe Hill's work.
Same here, I've lost count how many times I've started to play The Witcher 3, I always give up and play Skyrim instead.

Don't worry about having unread books on your shelf, I see it an investment in our future happiness 🤣
I might save NOS4A2 for October, I might do a vlog of reading horror books in spooky places.
I was very happy with my haul, it had a bit of everything.

Ínteresting group of books. Science fiction was my favorite genre when I was a kid. Isaac Asimov was my favorite author. I read some Arthur C Clarke books too. I will be especially interested in hearing what you think of their books

Evening Stuart, I've really been enjoying science fiction since I started reading it more often last year. The SF Masterworks collection makes it so easy for folk like me to explore the genre.
I have a few Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke books now which I'll hopefully get to soon.

Going hard on the classic sci-fi with this haul. I've not read any of these, but I'm vaguely familiar with Hard to Be a God, because I read Roadside Picnic. I've heard good things.

Since starting to read Sci-fi I've definitely been drawn to some of the older books, Arthur C. Clarke and John Wyndham are my favourites so far.
I nearly bought Roadside Panic but once I'd read the synopsis for Hard to be a God I knew I had to get it.
