Yes some games function like that, but fnaf has new characters being introduced, way too many prequels, adding more points even tho the Bite of '87 was kinda revealed. It's becoming pointless, over done, and has _wayyy_ too many games for the style it started out as. It should've stopped at FNaF 4. FNaF world, SL, 6, 7, etc etc is just a bit too much. Not to mention the books. Oh gosh the books. The game had it's run and now it's becoming over-used. The spark in it is gone. At least for me.
