Folkish Three - Blackstratblues

- Folkish Three draws from Indian rhythms and the Blues to form a unique combination of both elements. The rhythm section of Adi Mistry & Jai Row Kavi navigates formidably through time signature changes and mood swings. The main guitar riff appears in different avatars throughout the song, underpinned by Beven Fonseca's subtle organ playing.
Bass: Adi Mistry
Keys & iPad textures: Beven Fonseca
Drums: Jai Row Kavi
Guitar: Warren Mendonsa

Trust me, you should see them perform live at least once
I DID. THEY'RE SO GOOOOOOD.
I believe this is what music should be , the feel and the passion is the definition of this band . Doubt I'll find a better band than this in India or perhaps in the continent
Try Avial bro
@@cyriljoe6452 Avial is good... BUT BSB is the best!
@@fnln1108 Subjective, both great bands with awesome styles. Avial would've belted out more classics if only they did not disband.
I've seen Zero live around 2007 but would love to see Warren live here in California someday
I truly happy today that I am living in the era of a legend.
Blakstrat are insane as always but ups to the guys at GearHouse, the sound on all the videos is really sick! Time to have an Indian version of Live From Abbey Road ;)
The edgier and probably the best version of this song anywhere on the net
Beautiful beautiful composition. Grows on you like fine wine!
I thought I had read these guys were all from India. They just seem to really enjoy what they are doing.
I heard this for the first time in Shillong when they played at the Weekender. Couldn't get over this track since then. This is so much '
Same here... I'd heard of Warren Mendonsa before, and of course I knew Zero, but I hadn't made the connect. Luckily , one of my friends did listen to BlackstratBlues, and he had played Anuva's Sky to me before we had left. Anyway, as we lay sprawled in the grass in front of BlackstratBlues , I became a fan of this man forever. Been exploring his music since. Amazing. Such talent we have amongst us!
Same, but in Delhi Weekender!
This is the power of instrumental music. It speaks itself. Connects instantly
When tejas mentioned in his live fb session that he likes blackstratblues music. I thought of checking it out.
God! I feel myself fortunate enough that i did 😍 that feel made me high.
That fender strat must have felt lucky in those hands ;) Warren you have made me your fan. Hope to see you live someday.
Cheers ! Blackstratblues :)
Their new album launch is next month, come for the gig :D
God damn, tight as hell!
Excellent and extremely skilled, inspired music. Hats off to Warren DSouza and the GearHouse Sessions production team !
Badass!! Love love love it. That keyboard player adds just the right touches to elevate the song to the best level. I say that as a guitar player. All of the guys really rocked it and sounded great. Headed to the website now.
insane lead.. making the guitar sing and listener can feel every note !! legends 🙌
❤ what a great Rhythm section, killed it. Saw them Live 7 years ago in Bangalore
Thought I could've listened to you much before but sweet disposition I'm glad to be not late while in this lifetime.
Can anything ever be more beautiful?
damn nice! this was just what I needed.
What a composition. It's been years listening to this track, but it makes you come back to it every time, with the same charm.
My favourite Blackstrat song! And the definitively #1
SUPER ! Blackstratblues

GearHouse Sessions
What a track. You earned a new fan today
Amazing❤
Damnnnn.
This band is slaying even without vocals only true music that speaks.
Hahahahahaha I just stumbled upon this video after listening to parekh and Singh while doing my architectural plates
And I'm not disappointed at all.
Keep making great music.
Lots of love from an sleep deprived asian
So funky and elegant
Oh my god.. this is epic shit.. Loved it.. and that Bassline in the back.. great track and even greater album.. cheers
Still listening to it in 2018!
Pigs have a better chance of flying than finding a better band than Blackstratblues.
+Satya Iyer Floyd reference?
Well, I didn't meant to, to be honest. 'Pigs Might Fly' is an old English saying referring to the impossibility of an event. I used it in that context, and not referring to Floyd classic 'Pigs (Three Different Ones)' from Animals LP.
Talking of Floyd reference, pigs did flew on 02 July, 2005 at Hyde Park in London. :)
Pigs on the wings...
[2:20] At this point everyone is so Bhund in the music !!
Everything sounds just *perfect*.

I see mushroom with love written in Indian words
Fucking brilliant
can anyone please tell me what rig he uses (pedals especially)?
that sound leaves me awestruck every single time i listen to any of his tracks.
Maxon SD9 overdrive, Roger Mayer Voodoo-1 boost, Drybell Vibe Machine, Arion SCH-1 Chorus. The amp is a Marshall 50 watt plexi replica by Rockitt Retro amps.
Warren Mendonsa thanks, means a lot. I hope to see you soon in bangalore. Last time I met you in hard rock cafe couldn't get enough time to talk to you about your sound. Oh and great work on tejas's album. :)
+Warren Mendonsa I guess the chorus pedal is what gives it that "gilmourish" tone.
The Arion chorus is more like a fast leslie/rotary tone. The Drybell Vibe is probably the more Gilmour-ish of the two.
Warren Mendonsa Hi, could I get your email id? I would like to send a track to you to review?
Is that a stock humbucker? And is it a standard strat that he's playing?
+Sandro Sadhukhan Fender '97 Lone Star strat, Suhr SSV humbucker & ML single coils
Thanks Warren!
nice Blues Project tSHIRT too
Sort of reminds me of Joe Satriani. Righteous!
His facial expressions remind me of B.B.King
Better than Satriani
all i want to know is what is @hoezayyy doing on the piano
