Hey, I'm in the process of restoring my Robland K26/ X26 and making a separate feeding mechanism (the original was lost). I'm wondering if you ever experience any snipe on your thicknesser? Judging by the rigidity of the table, the locking mechanism, I would say that it should have zero flex in the assembly thus resulting no snipe but i'm still worrying.. Thankfully the cutterhead is very small in diameter (59mm) and the feed rollers are extremely close together so the snipe would be a small amount..

yes, I get snipe if I don't take precautions to prevent it. it is from the feed rollers having springs pressing them down against the wood so on longer stock I lift the board on the in and out feed to prevent the board from lifting the feed rollers with the cantilever effect of the longboard on the table

Any chanse you could link to the sharpguard and riving knife?
What type of fence and guiderail are you having for the thikness/planer? I have a x26 from 1998 and i dont have the same attachmentpoints on in/outfeed tables

The "RIVING KNIFE/SPLITTER MOUNTED GUARD PACKAGE" if you read in the description there is a list of all the models it fits and Robland x31 is one of them. When you order you tell him what make and model too to make sure you get the right one. I highly recommend them I love mine.

Is that a router built in to the table? Can't tell what that circular part is for.
