Here is telesco summarized: 1. He’s decent in the draft. He hits on easy prospects 2. His rosters lack depth. He builds top heavy.(or coaching just doesn’t develop enough) 3. His contract deals are very fair for players( which will bite the bank in the long run He’s fine on drafting talent it’s more concerning on how he builds a roster. He’s decent but you don’t want him to be the smartest person in the room, which might be the case for the raiders lol
Followed Telesco since his hire in SD, reached and whiffed on his 1st ever 1st rounder D.J. Fluker and then stopped reaching and started going BPA or BPA position of need and had immediate better results in all drafts post Fluker. K. Allen in the 3rd was maybe his best pick ever after Herbert. He was also Awesome at selecting guys after the draft who were not picked and could come in and make the team like Jahleel Adhae and others. Now since moving to LV and becoming a Raiders fan in 2017 and my old GM coming here last year, Telesco had a great 1st draft in Bowers and Jackson Powers Johnso (guy will be pro bowl LG in my opinion, plays like Incognito without the mental problems) and Glaze at RT, he's building a nice roster. Give him a few more years, ya signing Minschew was dumb but they had to spend some money and have carry over money from underspending last year.
Naive question from non-American: What services are typically not delivered in states without income tax? Just less road maintenance etc? Or higher sales tax? I would imagine that there's generally more expenses in those states.
@@riecknicholasI say this as someone who has lived the entirety of my taxable life in a no state income tax state, I legitimately do not know what else Texas could be doing for me with the extra money. But this is a highly productive state, others are less fortunate. It may be that if Texas had as little going on as like, idk, Mississippi, that they may need more than just sales taxes and property taxes to get the same amount of tax dollars, idk.
@mazariamonti fair point. Given the publicity of the state of electrical assets wonder if that would be something that could qualify. Once in a lifetime snowstorms notwithstanding... (Unless they're privately owned)
Most of the marginal tax rates start pretty low. Like California you're paying 9% on anything over 70k or so. So that's a sizeable tax savings (on home games at least) when you're making 10s of millions. For example you're saving about a million dollars in Florida for every 10 million earned in California or New York.
John, big fan from México!! Thanks for answering my question on Ben Jonhnson. As a Lions fan I think he will make history staying with this roster or at least win a Super Bowl. I frankly dont se him as a culture changer like MCDC and I dont see him working with a poor desition maker QB like Caleb Williams.
The taxes for the players in NY or CA are surely offset by the endorsement deals. You just wish that the non super duper rich could get a few endorsements every now and then to offset the ridiculously high taxes that go towards buttfuck nothing in those states.

I'm ok with keeping or tagging Darnold as long as we don't give him a long term contract...the reason we let Kirk go was to avoid another long term QB contract.
Yall think Deion would work in the NFL? If Tennessee drafts Shedeur and hires Deion as HC, they deserve everything that happens to em. That would be absolute insanity.
Change Shedeur’s last name and he’s barely worthy of a second round pick let alone first overall. Feel sorry for any team at the top that talks themselves into drafting him. It’s not hating, he would have been the 6th QB taken in last year’s draft. Taking him over Travis is insane.
Damn why we hating on shedeur today 😂. Nix play in college for 18 years and nobody talked about McCarthy as a first round pick until the draft process. He been one of the best college qbs the last TWO years. What pass have you ever seen McCarthy make that he can’t?
If I were running the Lions I would just pay both my coordinators top of the market value plus 2 million and they stay because I don't want to break up the coaching staff This way the coordinators make up of the market money and they don't have to deal with the whole headache of being a head coach and running everything the whole team
Is the least that the owner should do after decades of failures. I'm sure it's proving to be good business for the franchise now that they have national spotlight with this team.
Raiders have had good drafts including bowers. They intentionally did not go after Bo nix but he must def get the Qb solved now and that is on him. It would seem it is easier to do that with vet gm telesco already engaged on that mission than having to interview a gm first and then set in motion the Qb equation. Too much time wasted on search when you have a vet.
With some of these teams, they don't even do what Belichick claims, even as bad as that sounds. With them, you're closer to something like "fire, ready, aim" than anything else. 😅 I'm aware that statement doesn't even make any sense. Think about some of the decisions the worst of these franchises have made in recent years tho.
Bears fans, you have ZERO shot at Ben with that GM still in place. You better start letting the owner know 😂. He will NOT go to a situation where the GM drafts like that.
You and your hate for JJ 😂. You must not remember right before he got hurt how happy the other JJ was? Bro is SO much more talented that Sam. And he's hurt. What's with the "not like he's pushing Darnold". What does that even mean and how do you know that? Cause someone else says he looks skinny, now he can't throw anymore?
Yall keep pushing Deion to leave college when he said like 1000x he isn’t coaching the nfl he don’t already led his sons to where they need to go and Deion def isn’t coaching the titans 😂
I asked John a version of the Deion mailbag question myself and I'm glad it got addressed because I actually think the Tennessee Titans could really use Deion Sanders being the HC of the team for reasons that go far beyond football and into dollars and sense. The Titans are franchise that is totally bereft of interest on a national scale. They are perennially ignored by the national media, even when they're good, because they're an identity-less, boring franchise that Deadspin accurately describes as football wallpaper. By hiring Deion, he would immediately transform that. The hiring would generate a media frenzy like no other, Deion would help us relentlessly market the brand the way he has done with Colorado and ascend this franchise to a media/marketing playing field equal to the rest of the NFL, where they have just simply not been able to contend with other franchises for air time for decades and decades. I think Nashville is an up-and-coming player in major American entertainment. It's a great party town, but it's going beyond Tennessee now. A lot of stars choosing to live in Nashville now. Look at what's happening with how many country artists are beginning to cross over into the cultural consciousness, and Deion Sanders could put himself and his personal brand right at the heart of that wave. It'd be a smash hit from a moneymaking standpoint. Football? No idea. Marketing and merchandising (which you need to pay for a big nice new stadium) I think this would be a slam dunk from that perspective.
I don't think most NFL fans give a flip about Deion coaching or not and the nepotism that comes along with him and his barely a second round pick worthy son.
