Home Renovation. It can be pretty great....when it's over. ANYWAY seeing as I couldn't sleep with all the noise going on, I figured I'd do what I usually do and record the noises. I threw them into my sampler, did a bunch of EQ-ing (among other things) and I attempted to make a video game song from it. Did I succeed? You'll have to watch the video and experience my pain to know. With that all being said, I'm going to sleep. This is "Attempting to Make a Video Game Song Out of My Home Renovation". The first part has big Hollow Bastion energy, and it definitely feels like the hero of a story has just experienced an upheaval of some kind
When I heard the original sample, I was not expecting the trailer of some indie game where a circuit bent zelda temple meets terraria, but it really works…somehow.

Also, this is kinda trippy, bit my house has also been getting renovations too for the past week or so (we are opening up the kitchen). A good workout, I'll give it that.

Could be BGM for a village or city where the townsfolk have been possessed by Something and are compulsively renovating the place to better serve... some unknown purpose or being.
Like maybe whatever it is really hates the sun, so they're ripping up all the floorboards to make bigass roofs to cover everything and making tunnels underground, or maybe it really likes the sun, so they're dismantling their roofs and making scaffoldings and towers and such.
Sounds like a factory theme. Or the theme of a Home Depot/IKEA dungeon.

And honestly I know you said these sounds weren't easy to work with, but I think their out-of-tuneness (?) adds a lot of grit to the song, I saw someone in the comments say it should be a factory song and I agree, it has a real cool industrial feel ! What day was this streamed? I am subscribed to your twitch but I'm not really there for games, just the music. But I cant find any music streams(atleast ones that are titled so). Are the music sessions just mid game-streams or do you dedicate entire streams to them?
Also, this piece was good, it had that weird, uncanny valley feel to me. Like it was trying to be a normal theme but something was unsettlingly off. Would fit in a situation where the game is trying to tell you that everything is okay but a past experience or just a fleeting comment from a character makes it clear that there is something weird happening.
