When Sol’s RNG first came out I played it for about 3 minutes than left because of how stupid I found it. I felt there was something off about those games. What’s even worse is not only is this gambling, but these are very very young children playing these games and their minds are be exploited just so they can “look cool” while the creator profits of them. This is a really great video discussing RNG games especially for a channel this size. To add, pet simulator 99 is a more guilty game out of all the games on the platform in terms of wasting time.
Roblox's player base being mainly young children is definitely one of the main issues with these games. Young children being exposed to these things leads to a lot of issues as they grow up, and some of my research for this video looked into some of these issues as well. Good to hear you enjoyed it!
i dont understand how people will hate on real games when theres a single code that rolls a random number but when the entire game is just doing absolutely nothing but watching random numbers roll its completely fine and a good game
This an amazing video it was not how I expected it to be, but it was better. The way you explain the psychology behind it makes it easy to understand and the philosophy that ties it all together.
Genuinely one of the greatest videos I’ve watched in recent times. The music and storytelling in this video are top tier. Hopefully you grow soon, and keep enjoying what you make :)
Thank you very much for this enjoyable video. I too have been recently hit with the realization of just how fast time passes, and reminding me of the idea of only spending time on doing something you love is something i really needed. Looking forward to seeing your future videos as well! :3
Thats what all of you say, you jokingly say youre wasting your time and could be doing something better with your time other than selling your time to greedy corporations. Why? No one is stopping you from making a rational choice. Just stop, this will never be an excuse.
i think this is a good video! however, i think you should make an effort to cite sources when discussing things such as the theorized effects of dopamine and how humans evolved to be social. not that i disagree with these things, but that these sources should be easily accessible to your viewers. overall, a good essay and analysis of these games! while i do agree that they are obvious time wasters, if people enjoy playing them I don't think there's a problem. the same can be said for cookie clicker or any game really. thats why you have to be 21+ to gamble, and i think a similar age restriction should be put on rng games because obviously on roblox they have a large audience of people underage playing them, which is 100% exploitative
Thank you! I do agree, I should probably show my sources as the video goes along, so I will start doing that from here on out. As for this video, I'll list my sources in this comment and pin them in the pinned comment as well. I do also agree with the idea of if someone wants to play a game they enjoy, they should be allowed to. However, as I said in the video, exploitative games that are simply there to make a creator money is stepping beyond a moral boundary for me that I simply cannot agree with. But hey, that's just me, people can absolutely play what they want to. My main issue with gambling is, as I said, it's a huge time waster, but on top of that, being in a gambling rich environment, especially as a young child, can have detrimental effects on them which can cause a lot of major issues as they grow and develop (Sources 5 and 6). I enjoy having conversations like this and expanding on my videos like this in the comments. I did a lot more research than just these few sources, so if you want more, just ask! For sure that's true to some extent, but auto rolling is still a way for the creators to keep players playing the game, leading to them profiting from players who are afk, so it's not much better than no auto roll
Well it makes sense the Devs do need money from their game because even tho this game looks simple it takes a lot of work and time like all games and letting people afk is their way of earning the money they need
I do agree, devs do need to make money, my issue is that, as I stated, these games are unethical in my opinion and even with auto rolling, it's still basically gambling for children. But I do see what you mean, and you aren't wrong, it's just not the morally right way of doing it in my opinion
Hey everyone, thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy!

I've always despised RNG games due to them having basically 0 gameplay involved and yet getting popular
They are really strange

Thank you! I hope so too, but I'm enjoying what I'm making no matter the channel size :)
Sols rng literally got nominated for a bloxy for "best new game"
I legit almost forgot this was a roblox video
Amazing video man I'm so happy TH-cam recommended me this
Thank you!
amazing video, keep it up. Genuinely a well researched and entertaining video
Thanks!
This is great. I like how you use psychology stuff to do a deep dive and explain every part one by one, if that makes any sense
Thanks! Yes it does make sense, it's one of my favorite parts of these videos, being able to apply science to my favorite games
Thank you very much for this enjoyable video. I too have been recently hit with the realization of just how fast time passes, and reminding me of the idea of only spending time on doing something you love is something i really needed. Looking forward to seeing your future videos as well! :3

the concept of rng games (notably sols rng) using gambling and on roblox whose community is full of children is just dreadful
Thank you!
It really is bad, and all just to make money as well. It's something that really should be addressed

What game r u playing when ur talking
Is it tower world :)
The first game I'm showing, the rng one, is Sol's RNG. The tower game, the second one I play, is Juke's Towers of Hell (JToH).
eh, idk, it's a good vid, but I feel like there's a bit too long for its substance
what do you mean "hidden"? Roblox is already evil by itself
gyat
It doesnt really take your time away because you can just leave it afk with auto roll
For sure that's true to some extent, but auto rolling is still a way for the creators to keep players playing the game, leading to them profiting from players who are afk, so it's not much better than no auto roll

@@HQCTalksi mean at least its better than simulator games (as in you arent spending robux). Still bad nonetheless.
@@LeyScarI slightly prefer Simulators (I still despise Simulators) because they have at least some “gameplay”.
