Im 14, i discovered River Flows In You at 11. Tried to learn the Piano. Still failed. So naive that i made River Flows In You as my First Song, i dont even know the Basics. But guess what, I suceed it took me almost 1 Year to Perfect it cuz i got no Teacher. Now im learning new songs including his. I could play May Be but from Middle C. Hehe. Anyway, those who wants to play the piano, just do it. Just DO IT!
I learned piano only 1 half year with teacher , I just took basic level and decided to quit. After that I continue to play at home all by myself year by year and now I can play many of yiruma song like kiss the rain, fairy tale, spring time, I and other pop song.
Just learn and never give up, you will be able to play piano beautifully.

Yiruma, your songs may not be as complicated as Beethoven's or Lizst's, but their simplicity in fact conveys strong emotions. You can make your audience cry with your compositions, as a proof that you really captured their hearts.

I'm just 17 years old, relating this meaningful piano song. Many experiences I've had from past, from losing mother, experienced no father at the time he didn't support us, and being now working student. It's really hard, when I heard and watch this on youtube , I ask my self "All problems will disappear ,even if it's hard to stand out ,it will going to be fine" This piano music really touches my heart 🙂
I’m 23. At 17 I left my country to another where I knew literally no one. It was very hard ! I went to university and after my 18th birthday I found a student job too 😅 now I got my bachelors degree and on my final masters year and with a better job in the same field that I study in university! And also I traveled to 7 countries alone !! I hope that will motivate you to study and work and live your life in a full way !! Ofc many days depression and anxiety hit me but I got up each time !!! A😅❤

엄청난 배신감.....

모든 곡을 라이브를 포스 폭발하는 편곡으로... 입이 떡 벌어졌습니다...
그쳐.. 그리고 멜로디도 계속 반복되는데, 그걸 잘 안 살리면 지루해지는데, 그 피아노 치는 능력이 이루마씨 능력인 듯 ㅠㅠ

2002년 루마을 팬클럽 가입했을 때 이렇게 유명해질 줄은 생각지도 못했네요. 동시에 이렇게 세계적으로 유명해지다니 왠지 내가 성공한 것처럼 뿌듯하네요. 이제는 세월이 흐른 만큼 예전 20대 때와는 달리 연륜도 느껴지네요

Everytime I listen to "kiss the rain" it makes me emotional.... Yiruma you have healed so many with just your music....
I love his expression while he is playing, it's not over dramatic but he still shows emotion, in pretty subtle ways.

I'm 14 , I've been playing the violin since I was 11 To tell the truth, I learned the violin as an obligation since it was the only instrument available to me. I have a teacher who taught me the violin for 3 years. When I heard Yiruma, I was delighted! i fell in love with the piano, i still like the violin but not as much as the piano, its sound is so relaxing and moving. I wanted to change my instrument but they told me no, if you like an instrument please don't give up and learn to play it! Now I play the piano for 4 months, I still need it since it is without a teacher. cheer up, don't give up!

I've been listening to a neighbour playing piano for years. I just tried using Shazam on the balcony and finally found out that they play "River Flows in You". I absolutely love listening to it.
And I get neighbours humping like rabbits at 4 am in the morning
Some people says it's a blessing if you can woke up the next morning. I just received a very sad news that my friend had passed on in his sleep. With no illness I know of and just gone like this. Please cherish your love ones. Take sme time from your busy schedule to visit someone who you may have neglected for a very long time. Do it, do not wait. Reflect while you listen to this beautiful music.

When he was playing Kiss the Rain...wind starts a gentle blow and leaves starts dancing...
When he was playing River Flows in You...gust of wind indicates the rain is coming but the rain stops at its path as it do not want to disturb music of souls...
This Music is beyond words till nature behaves amazingly...

may be와 kiss the rain은 저렇게도 변주가 되네? 나도 저부분 외워서 변주 해봐야지~~ river flows in you 변주는...어렵다. 즉흥인가? 따리치기 어렵겠다... 완전 다른 멜로디라서 내 청음 실력으로는 불가능...ㅜㅜ 어쨌든 듣기는 좋네~

Everytime i hear kiss in the rain, i really can feel the warmth of every rain drop & the chill left in me as i standing there shuddered because of the coldness. And it pierce through my heart at the 2nd part of the piano piece as all the memories of me in the rain flooded in me.

Mỗi khi nghe lại những ca khúc do yiruma thể hiện lại nhớ tới ty thời còn là học sinh , da diết thật , kỉ niệm là một thứ gì đó rất khó để diễn tả thành lời , nhưng nó cũng thật đẹp và thật buồn cũng như những nốt nhạc này vang lên .

His playing just touches right into your soul.
Regardless of where you are from, the religion you follow, the color of your skin, your gender, the language you speak, music is the one commonality. The universal language. And this man "speaks" it so eloquently.
