It's odd that they didn't use a more modern architectural style for the extension that opened more than 20 years after the first part of the line

the idea behind the project was to create a style that could be used for the entire line, different from the previous ones (brighter station, more expensive and more elegant materials). Changing the design would have been actually the oddity, especially because the expansion was of only 4 stations.
