Hi folks I live in Australia. my Dad went to a farm fencing and ended up farming, he Always got everything on hire purchase as poor folks must but became a very successful Share Farmer. in 1962 he got the 1st Self Propelled John Deere 55 which was the first one sold in the District and one of only a handful sold in Nsw or Australia for that matter that year..And it revolutionized Farming crops, He's no longer with us but I feel proud of what he achieved to this day. That's a very impressive machine u have there and I wish he were here to see it. Thank you
I like the S550 and hope to film one. The S550 did not fit in the S700/S600 narrative for this video. It hard to decide how much detail to get into in a video. The S550 is a 9570STS with an S series cab and sheet metal.
It's amazing to see these newer combines, but I'm good with our 9570sts. Wish we still had the 9400 though. I don't really like the look of these newer combines, but that's just me
bigtractorpower yeah it definitely is a nice combine. We only run a 6 row corn head and like a 25 foot grain head, but it gets the job done very efficiently. And in my opinion looks way better than the s series combines.
BTP, Have you heard when John Deere will release that new model harvester that has a 60Ft head and a conveyor belt to unload. There are videos on TH-cam, and it looks much bigger than the S780.
+ledebuhr1 no word on it. It is rumored to be a twin rotor like the New Holland CR and Claas Lexion. It is reported to make the S790 a mid sized combine. I have heard the combine's release has been pushed back because the farm economy is down.
I bet you I and other experienced farmers could set up the combine and change the settings on the combine to get the best sample and performance than the computer!
Corn shelling will start in early August. The corn footage is from August 2016 but if you look close in those clips you might see an S790 in the mix ; )

Great videos. What is farm ground worth in western Kentucky?
Great one again ; Thump up!!! Greets Stefan
You should do more cab tours.
+Lucas Makk most of our videos show the cab view. Do you want to see it parked and see the seat and controls?
I'm sticking with a John Deere S690

Nope? Or do you mean the customer built machines in Australia?
