In Japan some companies will own apartment buildings about 3-4 stories high with about 4-5 apartments in each floor so each apartment may have 1-2 bedrooms with bunk beds esp in areas with manufacturing plants. They are not the high end ones, so 3 floors x 5 apartments each floor you get 15 apartments and 4 each apartment for example...

You seem so happy. You enjoy the little things and have great friends. I discovered your channel a few months back and it got recommended to me again recently and i have to say it's so cool watching your travel. Thank you for sharing your life and giving us a different perspective. 👍
@Nomad Push, the reason why companies will sometimes put their same business right across the street from each other has to do with easement, traffic laws, driver behavior, ease of use. For example, traffic coming from one direction, and or, using a highway / interstate off or on ramp, might not have the ability to turn around to use the gas station. If the traffic is good enough, i.e. influx of good steady business, then sometimes, rarely, you will find 2 of the same gas stations across the street from one another, usually, diagonally. If you had watched the traffic from either side of the road, you would have noticed both sides could not easily access the other fueling station. Other factors that are considered, is, will a competitor down the road get a large amount of business, before the driver can turn around, legally, and safely. Also, I mentioned "driver behavior." Some drivers are bound by their energy level, brand recognition, and or, a time constraint, which will push them to going to the next gas station. Also, one of those gas stations might offer other services, that the other one doesn't, for example, the refueling of liquid propane, of fuel storage tanks, that large fuel transport trucks fill up from, or, deposit. It's not an easy answer, as one can tell but the length of my reply.

Wait I just did the math, so $13 USD for half-day (12 hours) a private room costs $390 a month. But here a low-end bachelor apartment costs $927 month. The rest of the half day (12 hours) your out of internet cafe. But that's really good if you can store extra clothing/etc, nearby. The better bachelor apartments here start at $1100 month, its crazy.
Another video idea is reviewing japanese samurai culture and edo period folklore. Alot of us in america have/want tattoos of japanese folklore but need to know accurate stories behind them. Popular ones are raijin/fujin, hannya/oni/tengu masks, koi reaching dragons gate, flowers like cherry blossoms and peony and even characters like kintaro. If there are historical sites that have cultural significance about these topics, it for sure will bring alot of views from america. Its hard to find for us.
Praying for a good partner is also part of Brazilian culture. Brazilians call Saint Anthony the Matchmaker saint and used to pray for him if they wanted to get married soon. On his day, churches make reeeeally big cakes with some lil medals inside. It's said you'll mary soon if you find a medal in your slice of cake. There's another old tradition wich consists on putting a Saint Anthony small statue in the fridge and saying he's only allowed to get out when you get a partner. It's called "grounding the saint". Most people don't believe it works, it's just a kind of cultural manifestation.

There was a place in southern Gifu City that had a Circle K directly across the street from a Circle K. It was a major road with several lanes so I guess they wanted it to be easier for people on either side? Anyway, the one on the east side became a Family Mart when they were bought out by Family Mart. The one on the west side eventually became a restaurant.
I’ve seen other videos talking about it. Basically most Japanese people are atheists but do these rituals as a traditional practice. Maybe Robin can explain what the religious beliefs are, but it seems most people don’t actually believe it these days.
