It takes some skill and courage to be so flipping funny, he was naturally funny without being vulgar! A great star, the best of British, love Peter Sellers! from the good old days of TV.
Comedians seem to be more susceptible to struggling talking as themselves in interviews (maybe even public generally) than actors do for whatever reason
I was born right before Peter Sellers died, but he's my favorite comedian of all time. He was so brilliantly funny and his accents are perfect.

Peter Sellars- The best comic actor ever.
first class
Gay Byrne was 37 here.
Old time and Gold Time Television.
There are, sadly, not enough Peter Sellers interviews.
If they could only interview Peter Sellers, everyone else got interviewed.
Gay Byrne, one of the great TV hosts. And always great to watch Peter Sellers 👍
Omg! that Indian accent was so perfect.
WHAT?! YOU HAVEN'T SEEN 'THE PARTY' YET? ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME??? !!!!
All his accents were spot on.
Great stuff. Thanks for uploading.
Absolute legend
This was when we had humour, class act god rest him, went to soon once again like all the greats, 😔🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I miss Gaybo and Peter
Matt Busby on the couch as well....back when they had proper guests
I share a birthday with this chap, Mr Sellers.. Sept 8. Although not in the same year. It's all jolly good nonetheless.
I've watched this over and over. He is so hilarious but they are dead
He reminded me of John Lennon here, the same kind of goofy zany humour.
Un génie comique.
Merci Monsieur.
This is the closest to a Robin Williams talk show appearance I've ever seen that was NOT Robin
Williams was highly influenced by Sellers.
only 7 years after A Shot in the Dark and he's aged twenty years. Heart attacks and drugs will do that. Shame.
That and chronic manic depression
Legend
Spike Milligan also took over the show when he was on....
Jack MacGowran to the left of Sellers.
Thát Young Person, !!!
sweet!
it's like nineties jim carrey on pcp
You can see the link from Carrey and Robin Williams (think Good Morning Vietnam or Aladdin) back to the manic personality swaps of Sellers.
Is that Matt Busby at the end of the row?
Sure is! Quite the ensemble cast!
@@otoolepw yes, and I think that's Trevor Howard beside him ...

Being utterly insane is funny to a lot of people.
he was wired in this clip
READ ONCE DEEP DOWN SUFFERED DEEP DEPRESSION LIKE JONATHAN WINTERS DID ALSO
It's gas the way nobody moves down and he has to go to the end of the line.
I was struck by that, but he seemed more relaxed not being front and centre.
How many accents and persona's?
Unfortunately , Peter was always hiding .
I just put the cat out! It was on fire...
You think this is wild, see an interview with Skip Mulligan
He’s a nervous wreck here, hence the incessant talk.
the reason is coke...
He’s funny but also a bit scary
The Late Late Show now is awful
Is it just me, or was that a pathetic effort at comedy ? And yes, I do know who Peter Sellers is.
I signed in jut to say I agree. Almost creepy if you ask me...coked up like...
It’s fucking hilarious
You might well know who Peter Sellers is, but you obviously dislike his type of humour.

Im sorry mate but its just u
Mad as can be and the constant change of accents is irritating…
Womp womp
Sellers really is so unfunny and trying too hard. Without a script he was useless and embarrassing.
its not really funny
Hes high as a kite
