Developing your own policy on disability inclusion webinar

All ACFID members are required to have in place a policy, statement or guidance document that demonstrates your organisational commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities, and evidence of how your organisation is implementing this commitment in practice. This webinar is designed to help ACFID members understand your obligations and learn how you can improve your policy and practice - whether it be through developing a policy, strengthening your current approach, or implementing disability inclusive practice in programming, communications or at the organisational level. We unpack language & definitions, rights-based approaches, explore the core principles of disability-inclusive development and importantly highlight some different approaches seen in our membership.
This webinar is co-hosted by ACFID’s Standards and Code Team alongside Fifi Rashando from Good Return, and Takara Morgan form Teman Consulting who provided the expertise into ACFID’s much anticipated Guidance for the Development of a Disability Inclusion Policy.
