What I love about the mode is winning doesn't matter as much, so you're free to goof around with off the wall decks. Most of the missions involve just playing the game which is great.
Two kinds of missions (that I've seen so far) take a lot of time to complete: Spend X Energy, and Play X Power Worth of Cards. For the first, Arishem is great to get a little more energy per game, with Legion tech on +Energy locations. For the second, Living Tribunal can generate thousands of Power in a single game. I love the balance Second Dinner found with this game mode. Losing isn't punished, winning is gently rewarded, missions encourage combo play. I wouldn't mind Alioth to be banned, but the low stakes keeps it from feeling too frustrating. It's been so fun to explore what's possible with big energy turns. Happy Snapping!
Funnily enough my first thought was to go for an Arishem deck because more energy = more cards and more cards = Arishem but I realized that going for something simple like Wong & Black Panther or Wong & White Tiger is way easier to pull off. I'm a bit surprised how well Ultron decks seem to work. Tribunal seems to work quite well too.
This mode brought me back from a long break. I hope to god it stays or makes frequent returns. Don’t need to worry about keeping up with any sort of meta or playing for cubes. Just pure fun and enjoyment
Wiccan is soooo good, playing him on turn 1 can really snowball and having you play way more cards to your opponent, which makes it more difficult for a Alioth/Cosmo/Negasonic to ruin your plays, as you can spread your power more evenly
Ive been playing a toxic ongoing deck with USAgent and that guy along with Cosmo just wins so many games all on their own. Nothing feels better than hitting their Iron Man with that -4
I've been winning games non stop with my Arishem deck. It feels like Arishem should of been one of the banned cards from High Voltage. I replaced quinjet with Sera and so often im able to play her on turn 1. Also replaced coulson with Nick Fury and took Loki out altogether.
I'm surprised that none of these decks are running US Agent.... Not just a cube stealer with these greedy decks but an absolute soul crusher. I got my win all three locations with US agent vs. an Onslaught Tribunal deck. It's hard to win a location when you're spreading negative power to each location. 😂

I like this game mode way more than Deadpool's Diner. It also makes Conquest proving grounds obsolete. Hopefully it comes back periodically.

Sizer's voltage deck is basically unbeatable with the tempo ramp into tech like jugger, alioth and cosmo.
