Great project, but shorting the 2 inner pins (D+ and D-) together will fulfill the same purpose as connecting them to the board. Also, there are cheaper options like these powerbank modules. And don‘t cut both the wires of the lithium cells as it will short them out.

Well done, I like your video. Is there a reason why you used many small batteries instead of one bigger one?

Duffer could use a larger lipo battery for that casing and should have made a 3000 to 5000mh powerbank.
