It's one of the incomplete mysteries of history. We know only a few bars in Mozart's hand survive, and we have accounts of Mozart singing the Lacrimosa with a few friends a few days before his death. If it was truly finished by Süssmayr, I wager he managed to keep most of it in his memory all those years. It cries in Mozart's voice.
It's so haunting because it was the last piece that Mozart wrote right before dying, he quite literally felt death while writing and he thought they would use this piece for his funeral 💀
@@ImWriiightIt's a little uncertain. There are primary sources saying they sang the lacrimosa with Mozart shortly before his death, and we only have a few bars in Mozart's hand. Süssmayr does claim to have finished it, but it's almost too perfect to not be Mozart. I'm fine never knowing for certain.
Videos of this kind are very helpful and greatly appreciated! This piece marks the beginning of the second chance I was given (emergency surgery) when my life was in danger due to a very serious infection. ❤
Why so short??? Listening the Requiem you want to cry. 5hanks God you're there and we can look at you and smile a bit watching your funny, cute face...
You sound like Mozart himself! Did you know that Mozart stopped writing Lacrimosa eight bars in? He was terrified of the words he was writing. I believe "Lacrimosa dies illa" means "The days of tears" but I'm not certain.
I saw the other lacrimosa harmonies video a couple of hours ago and thought I gotta see the notes to try it myself but was too lazy to search. So maybe in another life. But here the notes found me. Oops 😅
Not only does he have the vocal range but he also sings every note in the range cleanly with control and ease. Very impressive.
it's not very difficult
yeah once you can sing well in oe range the others will be easy@@ygt_2
and on top of that, his ecclesiastical Latin pronounciation is perfect
@@ygt_2 yeah sure sopranos can easily sing bass?? are you aware of what "vocal range" means?
@@AggamRahamim-fs2zm a bass can sing falsetto
Хороший вокалист! И прекрасный обозреватель Димаша! Спасибо за ваши реакции на Димаша!
LOVE this piece and your vocal range is very impressive!! Love these videos
Never expected such great composition
From Mozart? 😂

you didn't expect great composition from Mozart??
I love your precision on that eighth-note chord progression
Absolutely gorgeous
Beautiful! You covered all parts! Just amazing!
You're doing all of my favorite parts/bits that get stuck in my head, thank you
I love the place you've ended. Last bar Mozart wrote in this piece.
Which of Mozart's Requiems is this?
KV 626
@@ruby2zdy the most important one, his last, Requiem in D minor, which is K. 626

Beautiful and haunting but I love the requiem

PERFECT LOOP!
we need full version of you singing lacrimosa
Did we ever get a full version?
The rest of the song is written by Mozarts student, Sussmayer, after Mozarts death.
