Once again I think I bit off more than I could chew, but I'm glad it's finally finished! My narration is quite loud and sibilant through my IEMs, but elsewhere it sounds fine. Let me know what you think!
I believe it's time I tried to make shorter, slightly different content for a while, until I've honed my video editing skills a bit more. But as for the long-term, expect longer, more grand Azerothian projects ahead!

You're too hard on yourself, this is quite good. I think I speak for everyone when I say that this is nearly perfect WoW content.

You're in a market nearly no one else does well - exploration of the long forgotten quests that remind us of what it means for an RPG to be an RPG.
Youve blown up because the content is good! The viewers are the evidence. I'll watch whatever you throw out, but don't be so tough on yourself, you're doing great, keep it up.

Personally I think your longer form videos, that take their time to explore the real details of each quest using the immersive game footage and music, is what sets the channel apart from other game and WoW content channels. Big fan of your longer videos.

    • @Veriganic
      @Veriganic  ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@Fenocdehgr8 I really enjoy digging into the details, and I don't plan for that to change! I only mean to lessen the scope of my projects, at least for a while, and to see how that plays out. Expect the same content - just on smaller questlines, etc.

As a lifelong Paladin main, I truly appreciate you bringing our story to the... um... light. I know I truly appreciated getting to see videos of quests I never got to enjoy, horde adventures, druid quest lines, etc. It is wild how this game, in the true dawn of the internet (for gaming purposes), created such a gigantic world that most people will never experience a quarter of what it has to offer. Though I've split from the game for several years now and created my own family, I can live through videos like these from time to time without having to worry about grinding BiS gear and raid mats for weeks. Again, truly appreciated.

I never played a paladin, but I did play a warlock back in 2004. I did my epic mount quest with the help of my father, who had his epic pally mount, and your video truly captured the same incredible, awe-struck feel of the trials and tribulations and harrowing amounts of gold we went through to obtain these heroic horses. No mount has ever felt the same to me as the demonic, fiery steed that I summoned and bound to me in Dire Maul so many years ago. Thank you so much for your wonderful story telling and beautiful video design, which allowed me to look back fondly on those memories.

Despite I've played WoW with class mates back in the day, I have never become a fan of the game. I didn't get, why there were so many people all around the world playing this tedious, boring game. But watching your WoW-Videos really shows me, that there is a spark of adventure, I have missed out on by just not getting it. That, despite I didn't enjoy the general gameplay, there was an exiting world to explore, a flavourfull playstyle to master and an engaged community to become a part of. Thanks for showing me, that all those people who loved WoW weren't just tasteless nerds, as I first assumed, but a band of pioniers of a rich fantasy world :) Keep on the good work!

I think I forgot to subscribe the last couple videos I saw of yours but I'm glad YT pushed it again. Paladin was the first class I got past 25 and really cemented some feel good memories of vanilla WoW. From entering Stormwind for the first time and taking the tram, to experiencing PvP in Ashenvale for the first time, I had a grand old time on my Paladin. I got that account banned at level 40 but I think 10 years later I managed to get it activated again and April, my Paladin, was STILL on the boat to Darkshore when I got that infamous text from a GM about my behavior (I was 15, let's not act like we weren't all shitbirds at that age).

So many great memories of this questline. At 60 and even into TBC towards 70, I helped every single Paladin I could in our guild to get their mount when it was time. We had it solidly down pat. It was so much fun that when we were 70, we did an all-paladin run to do the final quest. One dedicated tank, one dedicated healer, and three Ret pally's, only one of which was still 60 and who needed the mount. I miss those days when WoW was that exciting without ever needing to do anything in a raid.

Absolute work of art. Like others have said I appreciate the small tangents you go on to explain peripheral things that, while not linked to the quest directly, are nonetheless integral to the completion of it. The amount of love for this game you must have shines through in these videos and though I never played a Paladin to max level until Wrath and therefore never did this quest chain, the fact that you are so passionate about what you’re talking about absolutely kept me enthralled!
I can’t wait to see how you tackle other huge questlines. I have always thought the guides that are available on TH-cam while useful lack any sort of wonder or passion for the subject and they sorely need this type of treatment. Other World of Warcraft content creators could learn a thing or two from the way you approach these subjects.
I appreciate the time and effort you put into your content and I couldn’t be happier to watch and rewatch it all. Thank you.

It's also nice to be able to experience things like the paladin class quests vicariously; I started playing in Burning Crusade but I never actually hit an expac's level cap until Wrath (and my main was a rogue at the time), so this brings to life a lot of content I never got to play through myself. Thanks!

The nostalgia hit from these are awesome ❤ There was a thread I read recently asking what achievement you're most proud of in WoW. Gotta admit that mine is the legacy one for completing my Charger questline back in the day. I remember it well, it was solid work and I've got great memories of that. Great video!

I played the shit out of classic vanilla - wrath so far. I got not only the insane title, but maxed out every singe rep currently in the game. I have 120 mounts and 115 mini pets and every tailoring, engineering, and cooking pattern. I camped out every rare spawn in outland and northrend for the achieves, including camping out TLPD, and have over 9000 achievement points (its over 9000!) I wish I had recorded some of it and made videos about the journey.

for someone who had to do this with his first guild friends back in 2007, in TBC actually because I never reached max level in OG Vanilla, this was a nice nostalgia. When Classic dropped i never played, but again in *TBC* Classic i came back and yes, got the Charger again! Feels very very nice to see the story recapped here!

    Love these videos.
Played a Draenei and then - after a race change - a human Paladin for many years. From Burning Crusade up to Pandaria.
These videos bring back a lot of memories. I think it took me a year to level from 1 to 60 as I was so fascinated by the quests and the lore. I remember that entire quest line quite well. That Scholomance keys was such a pain in the butt to get. 😅
(Also great touch to include the music from the Harry Potter 1 (or 2) game in the Scholomance section)

Had to stop a third of the way through-I worked so long to get the sulfuron hammer, just to get a CHANCE at the hand of rag, and soon after my account got hacked and I didn’t even have the gear to run MC with my guild anymore, let alone the hammer. Blizz support didn’t believe me, gave me some generic greens and sent me on my way. Stopped playing soon after. Didn’t realize how much it still stung till you talked about the hammer, but hope I can come back to the vid soon.

As someone who knew a stubborn gnome warrior that really really REALLY wanted a horse over their mecha-chicken mount, cloth in general was useful for rep grinds among the playable race factions back in the day.

I played a Paladin when Classic re-released and got insanely lucky finding the Flamming Skull shield, which I sold for almost 1000g. That financed my fast mount and after seeing this, I don't regret my choices one bit!

I’ve never played WoW; I don’t consume WoW content. The algorithm sent me to your channel because I do enjoy longform video game content. Your videos are excellent. Keep up the great work!

Of my favorite things in wow, it's that I tanked for my guild for epic lock mounts, epic pally mounts, and legendary hunter bows.

God... I remember like it was just yesterday, but it was 2004 and I first did this quest on my Pally! (I was a month or so late buying this gem of a game!, but was sooo fun and forever imbedded in my memory!)

Thank you for these videos. So much of what these videos expose is gone from the game. That sense of grandeur has been replaced by quick-fix handholding. Keep up the good work!

Ah the memories.. I was so lucky to find a Krol Blade just before hitting 60. Was one of the first paladins on the Epic charger on my server in 2005, or so I like to remember hehe.

    Your wow videos are gold.
These stories are why i still play Classic era. im just so much in love with old azeroth, ive seen all of it, plenty of times. But i just cant get enough of it.
all the story lines, zones, items, lore of all the zones, all the random rpg mechanics you encounter across the world.
All of it, is just so much more enjoyable then anything in retail wow, imo.
    anyway, great video!

hi!! a month late comment, but i hope it reaches you-- i love your method of exploring lore, making it an adventure of itself, and using things like "let's get distracted and explore" as a method of tapping into tidbits that are interesting to you, and by extension, us as the viewer. i understand your decision to pursue shorter form content, but i will say that i think your burst of intense interest from viewers comes from your ability to relate to us, as players that would be like ".. my quest wants me to go this way, but this CRYPT!" and choosing the distractive route. continue to entertain your penchant for explaining whatever little thing is interesting to you, and i think you'll find a very like-minded and positive community growing. don't concern yourself with length- narrate the stories you want to tell, and the rest will follow
