i have seen avril 3 times live and everytime...it's like nothing i have ever seen...it's not just music...it's an experience...she does everything to make sure she shows she loves her fans. she brings them on stage, signs autographs...there is so many lights and everything...she gives 110% to every song.
I forget sometimes how popular Avril Lavigne was in Asian countries.
Seriously she was an absolute idol in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, etc. She was/is soooo popular over there!

Avril is such a huge icon in the punk-rock scene. Loved her as a kid and loved her growing up. Her discography hits hard. Though with the exception of that 2013 Hello Kitty song, which I'm sure many Avril fans refuse to acknowledge it even exists lol.

My early teens were spent idolizing the heck out of Avril Lavigne. I remember wanting to be like her. Like the strong aura she has, I wanted that so badly lol. All the memories are flashing back listening to these songs.
After seeing their reactions, I feel like we all lived the same life in different places. It's so interesting to me somehow.
As an Avril Lavigne fan that got Lyme disease in high school and so never experienced the high teen vibes she embodies and then fell down the rabbit hole of korean culture and language this really hit me

Fun fact before being half swayed into the pop/punk-rock scene (which basically sparked her big career) she used to sing country at open mic nights at bars, fairs and venues in rural Ontario, Canada. You can hear a bit of the country twang in a lot of her singing too.

I think everyone when they're at their childhood era, would've looked at avril lavigne as their role model. Bc I felt that, I was really a fan of her that I wanted to be a punk girl at least my appearance. I tried applying black eyeliner on my waterline (even though it didn't fit at all lol). She's never age, talented, the coolest & such a confident woman, literally want to be like her af.
Her songs were a large part of my childhood. I used to listen to her so much and was lucky enough to be able to go to her concert back in 2008. It was beyond amazing!

I loved this so much! Avril Lavigne was my childhood and my first concert! I have her first 5 albums as CDs! I also found it ironic when she was diagnosed with Lyme Disease as I was diagnosed with it in 2007 when I was about 7 years old, maybe 8 years old, I don't quite remember when exactly, it was around that time. She was my #1 favorite artist/musician for so many of my teen years! I loved her “Head Above Water” album and was so happy to see her live in concert for my first and so far only concert in October 2019! Watching this video brought back so many good memories! I wish I was a teen again living my youth! Is 22 too old now lmao?!?
