  • Since its launch a couple of years ago, the Cooler Master TD500 has proven a solid choice for enthusiasts wanting an affordable, high airflow and well-built PC chassis. But if you wanted something that shared the TD500’s looks, but in a more compact package, you were out of luck... Until now, that is, because Cooler Master has just launched the baby brother of the popular TD series, with a new TD300 micro ATX case. Can this compact version live up to the high standards set by the TD500? Let’s find out.

    2:30 - You can actually install 3 fans in the front on the outside!!! I just did this with mine, it's a bit tight but it works!

      Thanks. I've tried it. But I notice that the airflow for GPU isn't so good right? I have ASUS TUF RX6800 and it reach 80 C in full load.

      @@petarpartaloski8889 I have set the fan curve and yet the temperature is higher than my previous case for GPU. 😄. And how about the TD500. Is the airflow better? I consider buying it actually

    Big selling point is mesh front, removable top panel, and that it can fit a 280mm radiator in the top. You would be surprised how many matx cases only support a 240mm in the top. Very few support 280mm.

    • @KitGuruJames

      280mm top AIO is a good feature to have. Even some mid tower ATX case struggle to fit in top 280mm AIO support.

    I just recently got this case AND WOW what a difference in cooling performance coming from a stock Ibuypower pre built system. I even upgraded the stock cpu cooler to a 212 evo black edition the performance is just pure amazing now. :)

    Good of you to point out that some matx motherboards push down the gpu a slot, I have seen some people blaming sub-par gpu thermals on the case in those situations.
    I am not a huge fan of CM products overall but this case looks quite good, only beaten IMO by the FD meshify mini C.

    Man I got a XFX Swft RX 6800. Huge card but the specs said it would fit that case. It barely fits tho, but at least it does. Loved the video.

  • @shaun3133

    Anyone thinking of building in this case and plans on putting in fat cards, make sure your micro ATX boards pcie slot is parallel with the middle left side motherboard screw, if it’s below it like the board he’s using in the video it will reduce the slot size cards you can use by an entire slot. MSI and ASrock both make B550m boards that will be a good choice for this board.

    I have the TD300 for three days now (with my Ryzen 3 3200G and its "onboard" video). Just like with the TD500 a pleasure to work with.
    I did have a small issue to get the front RGB fans to "blink" properly (they were flashing with only green colour, which was quite annoying) with my ASRock B450M-Pro4 motherboard (ASRock's "Polychrome" program did some update...). And I installed a 120 mm BeQuiet fan at the back.
    A computer case I can recommend. Good work, CoolerMaster.

    Nicely done with the color combination. Not a bad case, but the lack of usb- c is a bit disappointing. Even though some motherboards have the usb C on the backside, it is not practical. I think that the price is a bit high, but when you see the build and when you know it is going to serve you for a while, maybe not that bad.

      if you want th fan to be controlable. try removing the ARGB cable and 4 pin fan from the fan hub. Use the fan splitter instead and directly connect to motherboard.

    Love the video! Im using this video as a template for my upcoming build when GPU prices go down but I do have a question though, I have never tried aio coolers before, would it be fine to use the same aio you used for a 12400f? I worry alot of about temperatures because I live in a tropical country and I'd appreciate yours or anyones help answering this question.
    Cheers from the Philippines!

    • @KitGuruJames
      @KitGuruJames 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The cooler I used in this video should be fine for a 12400F but according to the Cooler Master website the LGA1700 socket needs an additional accessory pack from Cooler Master fir the ML240 Illusion.
      The PL240 Flux might be a better choice as it includes LGA1700 socket support out of the box.

  • @anonymoususer7985

    These cases are not bad but the only way I would be happy to use this case is to use a aio gpu to the front because the choke on the gpu would scare me to much and aio cpu up top like you did (if length is longer enough you could swap them)
    The only issue is I don’t think you could vertical mount the gpu to show it off

    • @KitGuruJames
      @KitGuruJames 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think you could get a vertical mount in this case, not easily anyway.

      @@KitGuruJames yep maybe it’s a cooler master design team request but doubt it would be worth the development to them, 3D printer a 4 slot mount maybe
      Edited
      Stand corrected EZDIY-FAB Vertical Graphics Mount apparently fits matx cases, probably give air cooled gpu’s more breathing room too just need to check cpu aio clearance I believe

      The space underneath the GPU on this case seems a little to tight especially on higher end ones. I'd take the 205 mesh if were to upgrade to a beefy GPU in the future
