You should install the emulator yourself instead of using emulator sticks that give extra overhead. The roms are probably unoptimized and that's why it probably looks bad. If you need help figuring it out just hit me up I can help out.

I played mercenaries on ps2 , what a fun and cool game. So many features on such an old game, how we could buy things to the mafia and get those delivered by helicopter, man… and so fun cheat codes.
