Nikki just described compassion to a tee. You feel bad about the SERIOUS personal damage but it doesn't excuse her actions, yet at the same time it took terminal illness to at least begin see how wrong she was to and graced to have had Forest in her life.
While he does blindly follow orders he also has a mind of his own. In Vietnam Lt Dan ordered him to stay with him because of an air strike and he ignored that order to look for Bubba.
The problem i have with the movie after re-watching it is that they want you to feel sad about his mom dying, but at the beginning of the movie they tell you she named her son after a KKK leader. I feel bad for Forest in that situation, but his mom was a piece of shit.
You realize it was most likely Forrests dad that gave him his name right? It was pretty traditional back then that the father would choose the names for their kids. Also, his mom employed several black people to work at their home.
@@Jalynfein Bruh, i’d just lie and tell him the name just sounded nice. His dad was already out of the picture, if she had a problem with it then she wouldn’t have told him that. Also having black workers doesn’t make you not racist…………check any history book for examples
@@infinite-sadness- His mom literally tells him its, "as a reminder of sometimes people do stuff that...well, just don't make no sense." (Haven't seen the movie in a while but that was the gist.) But it would seem to indicate her disagreement with the KKK and their Democrat politics. And I assume you aren't referring to slavery since..ya know, people didn't pay their slaves. That being said, of course there were racists that employed black people and treated them awfully/lesser than, but we don't see any indication of that from Forrests mom.
@@infinite-sadness- Like I said, his dad most likely gave him his name, because this was common practice, and named him after the KKK guy because he was sympathetic to their views, and then he left his family. His mother then doesn't lie to Forrest about how he got his name, and adds that dressing up like a ghost and being a racist doesn't make sense, because she doesn't believe in that nonsense. You should probably rewatch the movie I guess.

These are always fun. Highly recommend Movie Name - Pitch Meeting videos. They are pretty quick but they also have supercuts of movie series.
You know what I'm not afraid to say it. this movie made me cry at the end
3:46 Your house tilted a bit for a sec there.
“You never know what your gonna get”
3:24 I absolutely hate when someone says he/she "won" the Medal Of Honor. It's not a competition. The Medal Of Honor is earned.
I still love it. but once every 5 years watching it kind of love lol
I might not be a smart man, but I'm subscribed to HatGuy and Honest Trailers.

I was thinking, could you react to the Super Hero bowl and vilains Bowl ? From the channel ArtSpear Entertainment. That would be awesome !
Y’all have to react to a Ryan George pitch meeting!
Or any of his other bits, they’re all great
Please react to Mrballen vidéo "mostf**ked up interrogation ever caught on tape". IT'S A MIND BLOWN VIDEO.

In my opinion it is a terrible movie. A horrible woman taking advantage of a mentally challenged dude
