I rode the Pacific Surfliners between San Diego & Los Angeles when they were called the San Diegans and they only went to & from Los Angeles & San Diego. My first time riding the San Diegan was on 8/31/1974 to Los Angeles which that was my second Amtrak train trip, my return trip was on 9/2/1974 Labor Day on the San Diegan making it my third Amtrak trip. I rode the San Diegans(now Pacific Surfliners) on 5/30/1975 to & from Los Angeles, 3/30/1981 to San Diego from Los Angeles after arriving from duty in the Philippines & on 8/6/1981 when my late wife of 31 years, oldest son & late daughter arrived from the Philippines in Los Angeles, it was the very first time my late wife, oldest son & late daughter ever rode a train. When my late daughter went on her own in 1999, she traveled between San Diego, Los Angeles & San Luis Obispo about 6 times a year on the Pacific Surfliner.
I’ll say that the last of one that was flying dying fast was going 95MPH, I’ll go there and I’ll meet you probably, but where is that at because I live in Pennsylvania, and wheres that crossing

What was the Cabcar on Overhauled 464's 582?
You know, I think it would've been better if they put 450 on the south end and Overhauled 463 on the north end on Amtrak 580.
Enough with the quiet zones already I’m tried of it and these complainers HAVE TO STOP YELLING ABOUT THE HORNS!!! LITERALLY!!!
582 was hauling ass!
