Nice solution Stefan! I recently acquired three 260's, a Model 3 which is DOA, and a 5P and 7M like yours. The 5 series uses a crazy 15 VDC battery that is no longer available but fortunately a eBay seller actually constructs them and both my meters are now functional. The connectors were a topic of discussion on the TH-cam channel of Alan W2AEW in his two-part Simpson 260 videos. We discovered that the Probemaster company here in the U.S. has the correct banana plug style probes. They even have a probe cross reference for Simpson and other meters as well so you can determine what will fit your meter. I just received mine for the 7M...maybe I should have waited for your more elegant solution! Happy Holidays! 73 - Dino KLØS
Thanks Dino for your comment. Yes, i know Alan´s channel and the Probemaster solution, but this is too expensive for me (plus shipping and customs/VAT). This would be much more than i´ve paid for the 7M. Stay healthy and all the best, 73 Stefan.
Dear Alvaro, this is a 4mm connector ("banana plug"). as the original one was. In the frequency range of DC to several kHz, there is no effect caused by this.
Hi Stefan. Great video on the Simpson 260. I used the model 6 back in the '70s when I was a technician. I thought model 7 did not have the mirror scale. Simpson came out with the mirrored scale on the model 8. I could be mistaken.

Mni tnx dr Jesus. Congrats to your success repairing the Simpson.
Nice work Mr. Stefan. I wonder only if with this new kind of plug the impedance will be the same as the one stated by the factory? Thanks. Alvaro.

Hi Joe, 7M means with Mirror scale. Look at simpson260.com. All the best for you and yours.
Practical solution sir! No need to buy expensive Simpson test leads. That Proxxon BFB2000 looks good for electronic bench.
The best meters nice one Stefan.
