Shim Jaewon (the choreographer) said he worked on this for FIVE MONTHS together with Spella who specializes in tutting and from what i know, this is the first time spella worked for a kpop song. They worked so hard on this 😭 Irene and Seulgi pulled it so well and im so proud of them 💯👏

honestly, this is probably the hardest choreo of 2020, or maybe one of the hardest in kpop. tutting is really hard, and it takes time and you also need to do it at the same time as the beat. irene and seulgi practice this for months, so if this doesnt win best choreo lemme slap them with some cheesesticks
I feel you...I was a yg stan because of 2ne1. I never open my heart to other groups until they disbanded. Then i stan bp but still feel missing something (yg sucks). One day around dec 2016 I saw a comment said that Jennie look like Seulgi. So I wondering who is Seulgi? She must be pretty. Then I start to search Seulgi & rv & I fall in love with their talents & charm (become my ultimate bias now). My first comeback was ROOKIE era! I wish I stan them since debut! 😭😅
Tutting is very difficult, from the hand movements and memorization, it took them at least a few months to memorize and perfect this whole choreography!!! SM is very creative and it's so fascinating how SM comes up with these ideas for their artists!!! KUDOS TO SEULRENE

I'm not a company stan but I discovered kpop because of f(x) and I loved every SM group and artists they've put out, they suit my taste of music better and I cannot wait to see the new girl group they'll be debuting anytime soon , as company of course they have fishy things like any other.
I enjoy listening to groups across all three of the main companies (sort of havent kept up with kpop in the past year or two tho tbh) but I’ll have to agree that SM groups in general, red velvet being an example, are a lot more versatile in terms of music style for sure. Like sometimes if one of my friends doesn’t like a style of music I can’t rec them certain groups as all their songs follow the same type of style but with a lot of groups from SM and some smaller agencies too, their groups really do dabble in the other styles of music too and I can say listen to this song from them instead of that one, instead of not recommending the whole group ya know
I understand the word “underrated” is used so often to the point where it really lost it’s meaning, but when I tell you Red Velvet is underrated, especially this subunit, I truly mean it. This is because they clearly put lots of effort, both the members and SM, into their crafts, the dance, vocals, theatrics, videography and graphics, But the return is so low. Literally nobody is doing it like them. Doing tutting is a risky move and takes lots and lots of time as well as the skills. The diversification of concepts is a lot of work also. When you compare their discography and talents to some other groups there is clearly a difference in quality no matter how many people would want to succumb to the term “opinion”. Red velvet and this sub unit deserves all the hype, and currently they are not getting what they deserve. But I’m always hopeful that people will open their eyes and ears because this is clearly a masterpiece

Tutting is very difficult, from the hand movements and memorization, it took them at least a few months to memorize and perfect this whole choreography!!! SM is very creative and it's so fascinating how SM comes up with these ideas for their artists!!! KUDOS TO SEULRENE

I'm not a company stan but I discovered kpop because of f(x) and I loved every SM group and artists they've put out, they suit my taste of music better and I cannot wait to see the new girl group they'll be debuting anytime soon , as company of course they have fishy things like any other.
That's why I love all of SM artists. SM is feeding us well.
I enjoy listening to groups across all three of the main companies (sort of havent kept up with kpop in the past year or two tho tbh) but I’ll have to agree that SM groups in general, red velvet being an example, are a lot more versatile in terms of music style for sure. Like sometimes if one of my friends doesn’t like a style of music I can’t rec them certain groups as all their songs follow the same type of style but with a lot of groups from SM and some smaller agencies too, their groups really do dabble in the other styles of music too and I can say listen to this song from them instead of that one, instead of not recommending the whole group ya know

This kind of concept suits queens the most. Elegance and mature.
I understand the word “underrated” is used so often to the point where it really lost it’s meaning, but when I tell you Red Velvet is underrated, especially this subunit, I truly mean it. This is because they clearly put lots of effort, both the members and SM, into their crafts, the dance, vocals, theatrics, videography and graphics, But the return is so low. Literally nobody is doing it like them. Doing tutting is a risky move and takes lots and lots of time as well as the skills. The diversification of concepts is a lot of work also. When you compare their discography and talents to some other groups there is clearly a difference in quality no matter how many people would want to succumb to the term “opinion”. Red velvet and this sub unit deserves all the hype, and currently they are not getting what they deserve. But I’m always hopeful that people will open their eyes and ears because this is clearly a masterpiece
*As someone who tried tutting before i can highly agree with this. it's really hard to pull off this high quality performance especially when their style of dancing is so different (uses bigger movements). and the fact that they have to watch out for the expressions they're making in front of the camera while doing this and actually singing/lip syncing is INCREDIBLE.
