Every time you talk about Zeke’s sleep regression, my heart goes out to you. Just know you’re not alone in that. I went through it too and that was by far the most stressful mind-torturing part of being a parent. Days are long-years are short. It will pass and it’s not forever. Love you friend
thank you so much for being transparent and sharing your hardships during this season of life 🤍 you're definitely not alone - I can relate to the mom guilt of feeling like I can't meet everyone's needs (myself, my husband, my baby, & our pets) at the same time. even though it's hard, just keep reminding yourself that you're doing your best and that's all you can do. it's impossible to perfectly meet everyone's needs, so aim for good enough. good enough is perfect 💕 that's what I remind myself as a new mom
Girl, i am in the same boat with you on every single answer! My girls are 19 months part, my eldest is a cuddle bear, and I literally just power thru every day. I take care of my newborn at night, no diaper changes unless needed because i nurse too, so yes, she just falls back asleep. My babies both want me at night, so im literally arched in bed nursing one while my eldest hugs me from the back. It's a roller coaster ride of emotions, but we are getting thru it. My hardest struggle is splitting the time between them both so that i give them equal undivided attention. We definitely want to wait almost 2 to 3 years for baby no.3 as well so it gives our girls a chance to grow up and be more independent. Love this video! ❤
I’m about to have 2 under 2 (15 month age gap, girl and a boy) in beginning of April, and I was the one who dmed you like yesterday asking for this vid so thank you so much. My husband works 75hr weeks and I’m a little anxious about the babies both needing me at once but you honestly are such an inspiration for me, not just because you are perfection (haha) but because you are honest and don’t just romanticize everything. It helps me feel like I can trust you and know that we got this! You are amazing and such an amazing mommy💗
I'm so proud of you. Sibling love runs deep in our family. It got us through the toughest part of times. The tradition continues when I see how loving the grands are to each other and their cousins. Love you so much.
Since before becoming a mom in July, you have been so motivating to me. I’ve watched your videos before I became pregnant and then once I was pregnant, I rewatched all your videos and have enjoyed learning from you. Whenever I’m having a rough day, I always think about your attitude towards motherhood and it always sets me back on track. I totally understand the motherhood struggles and just wanted to say that I think you’re an awesome mom and one of my favourite creators to watch!
Ive been waiting for this! I will be having baby #2 beginning of march and I have a 19 month old at home, so a 20 month age gap and I’m extremely nervous and stressed out, my husband is at home but suffered a brain injury accident back in August and its been really hard to wrap my head around having 2 under 2 essentially alone. Youre doing such a great job
I was going to comment a couple of videos ago that you look so sad 😢 I can tell you love your babies and you are a great mom, but you might feel alone sometimes. Going to therapy is great help!
Lauryn I just want to honor you for the mom and creator you are, I also have two under two and my youngest is a few months older than Naia now. Of all the TH-camrs I watch, your videos carried me through the dark nights of postpartum solo momming these two and just helped me feel like I had someone I could always relate to. I feel like you don’t know the huge impact you have, but just honoring you for your consistency and your ability to push through this really really hard season. ❤❤
I just got over the 2 under 2 phase recently. It was so hard. My prayers go out to you and I’m glad the Holy Spirit is with you. Once my younger son got too big for the carrier it was pretty hard transition but we got through it. Now that my youngest is 14 months and my 2 year old turns 3 in April, it’s so much easier. I would definitely stay consistent with them sleeping in their rooms because when you have more it will be really hard to make a change later
Currently in the two under two with you. Are kids are so close in age. I totally agree with the change of going from 1 - 2 is so much harder than than 0-1
Thank you for sharing this! I’m a fire wife and mama of 2 under 2 (13 mo age gap) with surprise baby #3 on the way! My experience with 2 under 2 has been so similar and it’s so nice to not feel so alone in my feelings about all of it! Keep up the amazing work. You are doing great, mama! ❤
Thank you for sharing and being honest about your experience with 2 under 2! I love your videos because I relate so much. My babies are 20 months apart. Its equally the hardest thing and most rewarding thing I’ve done. I also feel you with the moving situation! We moved states and moved 3 times within 3 months (RV -> Apartment -> house) then had a baby 😅 my poor toddler is a trooper!
Hi Lauren! I truly enjoyed hearing your thoughts! Your videos resonate with me so much. As a young mama myself at 23 y/o with my firstborn son already turning 1, it feels surreal! My husband and I share the same desire to try for baby #2, along with wanting to move soon, God willing! I just wanted to take a moment to tell you that you're doing an incredible job! May God bless you and your family always, and may you be surrounded by abundance and peace. Sending you a big hug, take care!
Girl!! Youre preaching to the choir!! I absolutely felt for me that going from 1-2 was WAYYYYYY harder than 0-1. Without a second thought lol I also dont believe i had PPD but there were definitely times when i felt extremely low. I didnt struggle postpartum with 1st. But with my 2nd I struggled with pp rage and pp anixiety and pp driving anxiety ALOT. I did not have 2 under 2 by the way. My kids are 3.5 years apart. My son was in daycare full time from before when he turned 1. During maternity leave (which is 1 year in canada) we couldnt afford to keep him in daycare, so he was home with me full-time and I just had a new baby. I hadnt been home full-time with my son since he was 1. I was a working mother. So that year, was extremely difficult for us. But we made it out, Im now a full-time working mom of 2 kids, one in school and one in daycare, and yes, I am still struggling but obviously in different ways. Im glad I made it out, and so will you!
I feel exactly the same about the 0-1 vs 1-2 transition! I didn’t want to believe it when people said 1-2 was harder, but it has been sooo rough for me
Could you please talk more about how to get your toddler out of your bed and back into theirs. I’m struggling so bad with a strong willed almost 2 year old that’s refusing to sleep in her room… and I will have a newborn next month. SOS. PLEASE send helpppp
I agree. I’m a therapist and they treat therapists terribly there. Especially with the ability to switch whenever you don’t give with a therapist. Granted we want you to like us but also you won’t grow if you never stay with a therapist bc they challenge you. I also have heard some clients having a bad time connecting with a therapist that shows up..
I completely agree. The therapist I had from BetterHelp made me feel so so terrible about myself. Literally still haven’t recovered from things that she said to me.
When you stopped BF your son at 10 months did you have to supplement with formula or did you focus on solids and milk? I am 4 months pregnant with a 14 month old and my milk supply is almost gone but stressed out about weaning and switching him over. I’m so attached to BFing. And did you do milk with naps and bedtime or just rock/placed him down to sleep? Would love some advice!
