I once had 8 days in a row of rain and can't stand having wet feet everyday. Now I have dive booties as dry socks I bring out when walking in rain.

It's getting closer and closer. 🙂 Can't wait to follow your journey again this year. I don't know if you've tried this yet, but when I would stop in town on zero/laundry days, I would always pick up a bottle of distilled vinegar and would soak my clothes in it for a little while and then add the rest to the washing machine. It seemed to really help keep odors down and just clearner in general. It may have been my imagination, but my darn toughs felt softer also and not that compacted feeling that happens after several hundred miles. No vinegar smell either. Wishing you the absolute best and epic adventure!

Like you, I have a Topo trail runner as well.
It's a Topo Athletic Ultraventure Pro Trail-Running Shoes - Men's.
It came with a rock plate, which I love.
Like yours, it has a very wide toe box.
I had to order it on line from REI.
They had a similar shoe in the store, but without the rock plate. I don't know if they have a woman's in this, and also I purchased it at the end of 2021.
Will be watching your trek again this year!

Thank you! While everyone's preferences are different, I like to wear my Smartwool T-shirt and a pair of running shorts in the summer! For sleeping, I carry a synthetic t-shirt and another pair of shorts. Having dry clothes isn't as critical in the summer because there is less of a risk of hypothermia, but I still like to carry a second set of clothes. Both outfits can be used interchangeably for sleeping or hiking. I also use smartwool socks, a buff, and a rain jacket. If you are worried about chafing, leggings or pants are a good option in the summer.

Hem your pants? Most laundries have a seamstress who will do it rather inexpensively.
