from hobonichi: "Because this cover has different specifications as to the standard techo cover, it cannot be used with the Cover on Cover." the cover on cover is for the bigger butterfly pen closer covers! Enjoyed your set up!! Great point about adding stickers over time, love that.
That makes so much sense!! I didn’t do any research on any of the covers & it was a spur of the moment purchase while in Japan 😝 thanks for sharing the insight! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊 thanks for being here.
That cover is so unique! I hope it works out for you one way or another, maybe with a random notebook as a thoughts journal or something. Looks like it would still be ok with the techo though not quite an ideal fit. The Weeks is cute too.
Not sure how I found your video but I believe your suppose to put the second plastic cover over top of the cloth cover. “Cover on cover” first the cloth one then the plastic on top. It’s suppose to be a little big so as your planner thickens up you have room to grow :) it’s a cute setup….just take the extra cover off your planner and it will be perfect! And it will fit in the cover perfectly! And ps. Don’t let anyone tell your it’s not cute because it’s adorable
I am thinking you need the Hobonichi cover on cover to go over the cloth planner. I don’t think the Midoei one is for that…the Midori would be used by itself. I love the cloth cover you got. I use the cloth and it keeps my Hobo nice and clean. You will have a year of fun with your new one. I look forward to watching your videos.
IDK but IMO all the plastic covers over the beautiful items you selected changes the look and takes away the tactile experience. (Don’t take offense) Reminds me of the plastic cover on couches back in the 70’s-80s. 😂
🤣🤣🤣 no offense taken at all! I completely agree that it takes away from the tactile experience. I’m also trying to not get my books too dirty & as a mom to young kids there’s always something sticky or messy in my vicinity 🤪
It's important to read about the Hobonichi products. Each product is designed a specific way for specific purposes. The cover on cover is designed for the covers that have butterfly stoppers (pen loops) only. The Koshinso cover is not in that category. And the covers are designed to hold the planner without a clear cover on it. Your clear cover is a Midori product and not a Hobonichi product. You are painfully trying to use many products together that are not designed to be used together. I just wanted to comment so others don't try to do this same thing.
Thanks for this comment! I was in Japan and walked into the Tobichi store without doing any research and without any real intention to buy any covers. I 100% agree it’s important to read about the Hobonichi products. I made a spur of the moment purchase without any prior knowledge but I’m learning & giving myself grace 😊
I have young kids and like to journal during meals at the table and realllly don’t want to get my covers or my books dirty so I try to cover what I can! But I really didn’t like the way it looked (obviously it was too much) 😊
@@nadiaaplans I have my A6 AuraEstelle in a clear cover inside an A6 portfolio cover. Also have the same setup for my B6 EDC and my B5 work planner. I also have young children. IYKYK…The cover on cover on cover works and I will thank myself later when the grease from cheezits or the apple juice doesn’t affect my financial investment in planners :-)

Thank you! It is a stunning cover and I was definitely drawn to it so hoping I can make it work 🥰
New here, watching all recommendations on cousin since I could not resiste acquiring on for the first time.
How exciting!! Welcome to the world of Hobonichi 🤩 I’m still a newbie when it comes to all the things but have loved it!
Love the idea of collecting cover stickers all year! Nice visual of the year even once done and on the shelf
Yes exactly!!
I agree with you. It is importen that you do the things you like in your journal.
The struggle on putting sticker is so real 😆 love your video! Such a great companion to play while I'm studying
Right!? I’m always so nervous putting stickers on haha! Awe thanks for being here 😊

That’s the way I did mine and it fits perfectly.
I’m so glad you found me 😊 thank you for those tips! And I appreciate the encouragement 🫶🏻

i think decorating the cover with stickers you get through the year was a great idea 😊
Thank you so much! 😊

😁 That makes so much sense! When it comes to fabric covers I have used scotch guard to protect them.
@@theartesana great idea ! Scoth guard 👏👏👏 on Liberty fabric Hobonichi Hon. Thank you.
What if you cut the back part of the book cover so that the most of the book is proctected but it fits better where the back book cover slides in?
That is actually such a good idea! I think I may try this with the notebook cover I got from Midori that didn’t fit the cousin and see how it goes!
@ Please let us know if it. works.😊
Could I get the link for the clear cover please?
Hi!! Sure, which cover? The cousin cover or the weeks cover? 😊
@ the cousin please
I found it on jetpets: www.jetpens.com/Midori-MD-Notebook-Cover-Clear-A5-For-Codex-1-Day-1-Page-Journal/pd/29902
@@nadiaaplans thanks

hi, friend!
Hello!!
Too many covers :)
Yes I agree haha!
Why would you put a cover on a cover on a cover? It’s too much that’s why it doesn’t look good.
I have young kids and like to journal during meals at the table and realllly don’t want to get my covers or my books dirty so I try to cover what I can! But I really didn’t like the way it looked (obviously it was too much) 😊

Thank you for this comment!! Glad I’m not alone in the cover on cover on cover life with littles haha. How do you like the AuraEstelle covers?
