@@vidtech2630 I’m not even sure what do I find. Is it some type of frequency analyzer?Would you mind giving the direction toward your personal preferences?
I think I might make it sound much like source without the usage of digital processing. Just plain old parametric EQ, fine adjustable BIAS control and EQ step up/down. I might use Dolby C if the FR isn't satisfactory.
The parameters, were not changed , the difference you hear is the difference between the sound I recorded from utub & what the deck was able to capture, even with a more capable deck , the hiss of this tape would drown out any , highs. and however some high end amps from the past , in my opinion were equed to obscure the hiss of cassettes, but mainly to make records sound good ....
Are you kidding me? If had that LN I could demonstrate that to you with a direct RCA capture. Unless the tape is degraded I it's going to sound without noticeable hiss at normal listening levels with Dolby C. If tape hiss overshadows your highs it's about time to get apart your deck and see what it needs. I see a lot of vintage decks: sometimes it's just as easy as cleaning the heads other times they need a lot of work, parts and tweaking to get them back to shape.
Hi right back at ya ! Another really cool cassette vid bud ! 🙂👍

Ohh , that's called SPECTROID, it's a free app in the app store. I misunderstood the question.

In this instance , the objective wasn't to record on the cassette using the best cassette deck, but an average mid70s deck , for that 1970s sound.
