What's controversial is that he was the former prime minister of Australia... ok for a church minister to say these things, not a former PM. He is revealing that we the people shouldn't have trusted him and his government and he would be spot on!
You are spot on mate he lied to us all the way and what makes the matter worse is his own party knew all along. which makes them all the same. Why should we trust them.
Politician or preacher, never should they meet. It should be a ministerial standard that ministers do not preach, and he was preaching. And if you want the biblical confirmation, Jesus kicked the tax collectors out of the temple.
Why do these multibillion-dollar religious organisations still get funded by taxpayers and do not have to declare any their income and don't have to pay any tax.
The tax funding to the ABC is completely different to the tax funding of religious organisations. The ABC provides a huge service to our entire nation for around a billion dollars annually. The profits made go back into government coffers. All of the religious organisations cost Australian tax payers well over 30 billion dollars annually and they get to keep the prophets.
@@ninjaatheist And what about the work that churches provide for the local community that you don't hear much about:- helping troubled youth, the homeless, jail inmates, elderly people, the unemployed? They provide food for the poor. How about the social circle they provide for new members who would otherwise never go out and mix with people? Most members provide a good example to wider society in service, being active and living honest, law abiding lives. I kind of don't see much to complain about.
