I like this look overall. I like that the camera bump isn't too much too. I noticed it looks like a pretty thin device. I'm glad they are continuing with making phones. I hear more often than not they make decent phones.

I'm looking at this as a second phone. They have it at TMobile for a little under 200. I'm in pressed with tcl phones overall. Lots of features. And the screen looks great. Battery is a big plus. Remove bloatware works for me. Thanks for the great review.

TCL is very impressive for value to costs based on the specs. As J. pointed out, the software updates is a concern to most and myself is included. That's my only hold up in buying a TCL phone. And I'd question long term performance and call quality because I've seen reviews for quite a few reviews and those are always mentioned. Does anyone have this device on Verizon? Another issue is past TCL phones need to be provisioned as CDMA less on Verizon in order to work right. That's kind of a deal breaker to me because switching phones after that provisioning is a pain. I had to get a new SIM card after provisioning my account for a Pixel 5a which apparently, wasn't made to work with Verizon.

TCL make some great phones. I consider them an alternative to Motorola. In the UK, they have to compete with Xiaomi and Oppo, which offer a lot of bang for the buck, as well as companies like Ulefone, who make affordable big battery phones. You can definitely pick up a bargain if you don't go with the major brands.
i bought the TCL 30+ for $360AUD. I had $100 gift voucher for this particular retailer in Australia, hoping for happy days ahead with this unit
Does it have Verizon mid band 5g (N77)? How about Tmobile mid band 5G? It may be a Non-US model (couldn't find any mention of it on their website) so not sure if it has 5G working for US carriers. Thanks.

It's not too intrusive. It's no worse than a punch hole, but much better than a notch or pill.

Remember that these less capable phones like a TCL are going to use less battery because it's doing less.

Similar experience with one of my Motorola phones, high efficiency processor combined with a large battery usually leads to good results.

The Camera is horrible! .it saturates the color and it is fuzzy....I can't explain it!
I guess I am used to my Samsung Flip 3 and my IPhone SE 3rd generation....I've only had it for a few hours but I LOATHE the camera! so far!
