I picked up a 12 mini recently for $220 USD. at that price it's a no brainer. the only real draw back is the Battery, but for $30 you can grab a slim, Mag safe 5000mh Charge pack and that should overcome any issues with getting through the day. I was a big fan of the 5C so coming back to Apple I was glad to see there was still a small phone option.
phones are actually meant to be that small, but our minds are now modern too, so the majority of us likes to use phone more on entertainment, instead of just casual uses, also the battery life, it's like a shame already that's it won't last 'til around 3pm, and it also deteriorates after a while😂
I've always preferred small phones. My 2 phones until quite recently was the 2011 iPhone 4s and the 2016 iPhone SE. when my 4s stopped working early this year I ended up getting a note 9 because it was the cheapest flagship I could find at the time. Then my 4s came back from the dead. The note 9 came with a free SIM card so I used that sim in my 4s. My 4s died again a couple of weeks ago. I needed to get another phone to keep my 3rd number active so I picked up a 12 mini. I always intended to buy back another 12 mini. The first one I had back in 2021 was always dropping calls so I sent it back. I bought a nice bamboo case for it before that phone arrived so I was bummed that I had a beautiful case and no phone for it. At least now I can finally put that case to use. The 12 mini I got only cost me £190 refurbished. So far I'm very happy with it. Looks brand new and the call reception is solid. When my SE eventually dies, I'll make my 12 mini my main phone or I'll get a 13 mini to replace my SE. love those small phones. I'll probably leave my note 9 at home more now and just take my 12 mini and my SE out with me, walking around with 3 phones is a bit much😂 I'll probably only take my note 9 out if my 12 mini is low on battery.
These small phones are not really a bad deal. Sister got an 13mini in 2022 and it's still working fine. But she did some battery saving hacks and used a Chargie to extend her battery life. Sad that Apple is not making them anymore though.
I used to have the iPhone 12 mini and I had nothing but problems with it overheating to the point that it almost exploded. I upgraded to the standard iPhone 13. I have no problems with the standard iPhone 13. I just wish that iOS 16 wouldn’t have caused the iPhone 12 mini to nearly explode. I am keeping the iPhone 13 until I run out of software updates or memory.
Never experienced any of that issues with my 13 mini, even on my recent trip to the Philippines where it’s pretty hot and humid. Even filming in 4K there was no problem at all, so i guess they improved and solved those overheating issues with the 13 mini.

I'm deciding between used 128GB iphone 12 mini and iphone 13 mini in the same config. The 12 mini is like 375 bucks and the 13 mini is about 520. Which do you think i should get? I'm a bit worried about the ios support in 2024 on the 12 mini but idk

Nice review. I’m looking at either of these in 2024. It’s great that they still have a few years of updates. I use Android and iOS and I prefer lightning to usb C cables - 6 types of usb c cable and less user friendly. 60hz scrolling on an iPhone is way better than 60hz on the Android phones. Just replace the battery. Not hard
@@emilsecker7881 it’s an inherent flaw with the phone. New battery or not it’s just a small battery.

Well even the standard 13 is fine which is why it’s the standard the pro Max’s are the ones that are too big

iPhone 13 mini and IPhone 12 mini are fucked up because Apple is removing them
*are fucked up
That’s not why
If Apple is removing them that would imply they are very good. Apple is rotten.
They are not dropping ether of them for at least 2 years and they will still work for years after that…
They’re great value second hand and support for longer than my current Android phone!
No overview about the battery life? 12 lineup had a horrible battery life, 13 got a major improvement on all phones.
If youre phone addicted its probably a bad battery life. With a casual use itlasts me up to 2 days.
