      well the good thing is they didn't know any different. So life was still good, they got married, had kids, grandkids, pets, hobbies. They lived a full life. Seeing colour will be like the cherry on the cake, giving them something they can get endless joy from later in life, while the rest of us just take it for granted.

      ... yes so true, they do realize with the glasses just what splendor of the worlds color around them which they have been missing all of these years but the youngsters aren't so emotionally connected to the color they have missed in their few years. Either way, having color returned to a persons sight is a marvelous thing to be celebrated... thanks for sharing, TY

      It wasn't any different for them,except how people treated color blindness back then. Still very sweet to have that chance to live through so much,including a day in age where there are glasses that help you see color. Next level,prescription encromas.

      This is a good lesson to learn from others. When someone is experiencing intense emotion don’t make it about you. You don’t need to react. This is not your moment. Let it be. They don’t need to validate you. You don’t need to interact with them right now. Be present. Watch. Listen. Absorb. These are wonderful, magical moments in people’s lives. Use this to remember to be humble and grateful. Remember to love the ride.

      @siiiiiuu7 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I don't think it's a male or female thing. People, in general, tend to be apologetic when they get emotional. I know that whenever I tear up in front of people (which isn't often), I have a habit of saying "I'm sorry" repeatedly because my dad used to become so frustrated with me. He'd call me things like "weak" or say I was doing it on purpose for sympathy... and this was all while I was a young child. And I'm sure he grew up with similar parenting. Emotions should be legitimized and accepted period.

    •  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@siiiiiuu7 I understand your point. The way I put is that no one should be sorry about getting emotional, yet, probably because he never felt comfortable around people to do say, first thing that comes is "I'm sorry".
      Considering how men showing emotions is something even less welcome on most cases, it reminded of men's mental health care.

    Genuine question: how do they know which color's what before even seeing them

      My ex was color blind, and he explained it that he was taught what different “shades” meant in relation to a color . He had trouble with greens and browns in low light but could otherwise tell well. He said he could see whatever “orange” was better, and it was his favorite color.

    I am 40 years old and very colorblind. I tried a pair of those glasses that a friend has. They do work, and it is very interesting to see all of these strange things. However, it is not worth the high price tag. Ill just live in my brownish greyish blue bliss. Those glasses are like a strange nightmare.
