Back from Finland, the teams are prepping for the beginning of the ice dancing Grand Prix season. Four of the teams compete in Skate America 2021 in Vegas, where Madi and Zach defend their title, and Madi and Evan try to go for the win. Lilah and Guillaume talk about the homophobic remarks that came out of Finland.

Those kind of homophobic comments should NOT be happening and “real love” - that’s ridiculous. Sending love to Gabi and Guillaume and wishing gold for them!
The scene between Lilah and Guillaume was so sweet! At first I thought it was gonna be a weird artificial conversation but Lilah has such a sweet persona and really warmed the conversation up and Guillaume’s book, story and thoughts. Loved it. Madison’s mother seems such a nice lady. Can’t wait for more!
Really enjoying this series and the insight into the creative process behind an Olympic skating season. I was also very moved by the conversation between Lilah and Guillaume. No one should have to endure homophobia in sport, or anywhere else, and it's amazing what he has done to advocate for himself and for the LGBTQ community. I wish all of the athletes featured here the very best and will be cheering them on at the Olympics and beyond.

I love this series. It gives all of the skating fans an inside look at what goes on behind the scenes. I especially loved the conversation between Lilah and Guillaume. He should not have to deal with homophobic comments in this day and age!! I'm glad the ISU took a stand saying this would not be tolerated. All of the teams are wonderful, but I'm rooting for Team USA!!
I want Madi & Zach to win an Olympic medal so much. I was heartbroken in 2018 when they came so close.
I kind of do too. I was not into them much before this but I feel like they are a contender if they skate clean
And now they did. 🙂
I'm rewatching the series because I can't get enough of them.
I find Gabie and Guillaume to be the most graceful skaters on the ice. Able to tell the story of whatever they are trying to convey, and possibly the best at it.
I’ve always admired ice dance…but I became a devotee when I caught G&G doing “FIND ME” on OnIcePerspective. I fell in love with them & they were practicing! When I learned they were not a couple romantically..I was shocked! What they project is so gripping emotionally…I still can’t tell. Their bond is deep & it transcends romance. It makes me love them more. Anyone who would try to tear at that bond is simply afraid of them. (and they should be)In moi opinion.
P.S. I still can’t find that book in English😩
I hope that people especially appreciate how perfect Guillaume is in his speech, his elegance and harmony with Gaby - the way they dance is breathtaking and captivating, and his sexuality is supremely his private matter. I think there is a very strong bond between the two - love has many forms and I believe that they will always be there for each other. No need to be in love - just mutual respect, admiration and respect for the other and you can create something so magnificent and breathtaking together...

I simply love this series. I know lots of things I didn't think of .
I'm rewatching this series = I love the behind-the-scenes look at the VERY BEST training centre in the world = and I love even more, how the coaches (techinical/choreo) put equal effort into each elite team and create an environment of support. It's inspiring and fantastic to see the support the teams from various countries provide to each other. This is EXCEPTIONAL.
So interesting to see the behind the scenes!!

I never why the sexuality of the athletes are something important or need to be known for the judges or why they have an opinion about it
PLEASE, please don’t *ever* listen to ignorant fools who say that those in the LGBTQ+ community do not know what “real love” is, or that they are incapable of real love! That is a comment based on nothing but fear, and a complete lack of understanding or compassion. ALL human beings are born with the capability to experience real love in all of its beautiful and varied forms. There is no way that you and your partner could move people so very deeply with your exquisite dance routines without deep love of dance, skating, each other, your coaches and teammates, and your audience! ALL are just a very few types of real love you have in your heart and soul - and it is so very obvious to everyone who has the tremendous pleasure to watch you express yourself through your skating! A person who is able to express that much love so very clearly, obviously has the ability to *deeply love* a life partner; one who touches your heart and soul and (hopefully) returns to you the extensive love you are so capable of giving to another!
Please work to find a way to shield yourself from the comments that in any way put you down or try to create negative doubt about you. Please remember that the people closest to you *know* that everything I’ve said about you is true. Tune out the non-believers and listen only to those who know you and care about you, and those of us who can *clearly see* who you *really are*. “We” are the only people who really matter in your life: “we” will always be there cheering for you, supporting you, and wishing you great success in *everything* you do with your life! And we *believe in YOU*, even if we don’t truly “know” you! We can see your love and devotion for everything you choose to do, and do well - including loving. Live a long and happy life - YOUR WAY - in a way that gives you the greatest joy! Stop listening to those who have no understanding. Find and follow only the people who do understand and believe. We DO exist, in great numbers, and we’re here to help you live your very best life.
I know that there are many LBGTQ+ people who need to hear my comments. Please share these with anyone who needs to hear them. In case someone tries to tell you that I am “just” “one of you” and that’s why I’m supporting you, I will share that I am a cis grandmother, who raised two extremely successful children, one of whom is in a non-traditional structured long-term relationship, the other in a very traditional long-term relationship.They are both extremely well adjusted and earning top level incomes for their families. They are accepting of all humanity, but like me, regret that there are people who hate or who are incapable of understanding the beautiful and complex spectrum of human love. Be yourself. Continue to soar above the what the majority of humans ever achieve. And ignore those who don’t understand. They aren’t worth your incredible talent and time to listen to or worry about!
