Yep the Soviets are the ones most responsible for destroying the Nazis and fascists, they have inflicted the most casualties of the enemy and the whole country sacrificed most of their life and possessions for those 4 years. Every Russian lost one or two dear immediate family or relatives or friends.

England and germany where far relatives through the keiser u heard that right the alliance was never agreed upon and after the failed attempt he was oblidged to never talk about it but stalin could have had intell about this through his spies making it suspicious and him expecting this ofcourse through intell and relations stalin knew this was the case and wanted to take precautions very interesting.

I am uncertain what or who they are trying to elevate and criticize in the tangle of generals and which ones got credit or blame for military decisions. But still the films technically exceeds any Hollywood versions and the storyline on par and without the absurd romance Hollywhood throws into their films.

The best Adolf ever interpreted. The voice and speech manner are very close to private records published by UK military archives. The common mistake in other movies is to interpret Adolf as a schizophrenic maniac screaming all the way. In fact, it was a dude who kicked out two best armies of the world at date: UK and France, in less than two months. Adolf was very talented manager, able to organize his economy and army. He lost the war against Soviet Union just because Staline was also a genius manager and the only who was able to organize effective defence and military production relocation. Technically, Soviet Union lost its vital military production regions in less than 3 months, but the production relocation and restart was unbelievable. The military production level was restored almost immediately. The Red Army December 1941 counterattacks used 90% of weapon produced in new locations, and it was formally the sign that Germany would loose the war.

    • @pawelsawicki1750
      @pawelsawicki1750 2 ปีที่แล้ว

UK and France had almost no army whatsoever at the time war broke out. Therefore Deladier and Chamberlane "helped" Polish government to direct Hitler's anger and attack eastward in 1939.
Stalin was far away from being genus manager or tactician. He was just a dwarf with very low self esteem, whom was panicking that someone would take his power from him. He simply had tens of millions of people ready to get killed or die making up for poor decisions of his. Also rich in minerals and supplies countries (USSR). Have you ever heard of hunger and famine in 20's, 30's? And how about murdering thousands of high officers in 30's (what was a real reason for USSR Army defeat in 1941)? Nothing? Hmm...
I suggest you to start to read on history instead of only watching movies that are made for you to believe Russian history is only one in the world... wow..are you really this brainwashed???
Let me guess: in 2008 it was Georgia who attack Russia? And in February 2021 it will be Ukraine who will attack Russia? Is that what you believe is happening?
      EDITED 29.03.2022:
So it was Ukraine, after all, wasn't?

@@pawelsawicki1750 I see that you have some interest to the real history. I will not use your tactics to spill all these labels. I know how it is difficult to manage the facts in mind standing only on simplified history version of nowadays propaganda. I will just answer to your solid points. First, you say that France and UK had weak armies. That’s wrong. UK was the first economy in the world and France was second. The solid research analyses reveal as the fact that French army was much better equipped and had better new equipment like combat tanks Matilda 2, much more powerful artillery and bombing aviation, similar number of infantry troops which were better equipped with field artillery and modern rifles. If you add to all this the defensive lines like Maginot line, you surely would not say that France reinforced with best Britains troops very well equipped. Shortest and far not most complete proof: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_France#Allies “ British artillery strength amounted to 1,280 guns, Belgium fielded 1,338 guns, the Dutch 656 guns and France 10,700 guns, giving an Allied total of about 14,000 guns, 45 per cent more than the German total. The French Army was also more motorised than its opponent, which still relied on horses. Although the Belgians, British and Dutch had few tanks, the French had 3,254 tanks, more than the German tank fleet.” My second point would be about Hittler him self. The most important propaganda lie is that he was stupid paranoid. I give you the links where the video facts are strongly against this BS. My personally, I like this video with deep explanation from specialist: Secret Recording of Hitler's Normal Voice The Hitler-Mannerheim Recording th-cam.com/video/WE6mnPmztoQ/w-d-xo.html next video maybe interesting to listen if you speak german: Hittler 1933 press conference th-cam.com/video/ebYvF0aE_Ko/w-d-xo.html , so my initial point was that in this movie Hittler was very well interpreted by actor. And about my point about Stalin vs Hittler managing qualities, I would say that your point is very weak and tooooo simplified. The key for France and UK defeat was in brilliant new tactics and strategy art invented by german military school - the Blietzkrieg. And Hittlers managerial art was to understand, choose the right “best of the best” military commanders and provide them economical support. As from Stalin part the task was much more difficult. The Soviet Union had no idea about the miracle tactics of german army and he should invent something in very short period to save his country from defeat. German troops quite easily broke through all 3 of existing soviet defensive lines and took under control 70% of industrial territory of Soviet Union. Formally this should be the end. And here we see what did Staline. He organized the resistance and trusted to new military commanders generation the key role to invent new tactics against Blitzkrieg. It was famous tactics of permanent counterattacks. This destroyed german troops plans and they never reached the Archangelsk-Astrakhan line as it was set by Barbarossa plan as a primary goal. From economy side he did something, that nobody did before, he organized massive relocation of all military production. Finally, these two key points ensured the victory in long term. Without Stalin’s correct management Soviet Union would be destroyed as fast as France.

@@fearlessfosdick160 Without Russia the allies would not have won the war but I'm not sure Stalin was a tactical genius, when Germany first invaded he was fatally slow in organising his defenses and a huge number of troops and equipment were wasted as a consequence but ultimately he had far greater resources to call upon and, like Napoleon before him, the German army could not maintain its supply lines so it's forces were cut off and forced into submission.

Remember: Yuri Ozerov was ahead of George Lucas, Peter Jackson, and David Yates. And he was ahead of them in that he was the first to film a prequel franchise to his original franchise. And yes, if, that his "Battle of Moscow" is the first prequel to "Liberation". The second was "Stalingrad" (1989). And yes, he also had a spin-off to "Liberation" called "Soldiers of Freedom", which predates the prequels. And I don't know if that spin-off will be translated or not. But you should know about it.

What killed the German offensive 25 kms from Moscow was first was the arrival of thousands of troops from the Urals and Siberia. These were fresh troops decked out for winter warfare. The second was the arrival of Father Winter in late November, just after rains had finsihed turning roads into impassable rivers of mud. The temperature plummeted to -40F with bitter winds and howling snow. The Germans had no anti freeze for their trucks and engine blocks cracked and split open. The lubricant used for artillery and small arms frooze, rendering them useless. The soldaten with no winter clothing froze to death if they didn't get a bad case of frostbite. There were reportedly over 100000 cases of severe frostbite in one day alone in November. The German army was caught flat footed totally uneady for winter warfare. And why not, their arrogance and bragadoccio misled them into thinking they would easily take Moscow before Father Winter. This series doesn't even mention this one crictical factor.

Even before the United States entered World War II in December 1941, America sent arms and equipment to the Soviet Union to help it defeat the Nazi invasion. Totaling $11.3 billion, or $180 billion in today’s currency, the Lend-Lease Act of the United States supplied needed goods to the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1945 in support for the Soviet Union .
      400,000 jeeps & trucks
      14,000 airplanes
      8,000 tractors
      13,000 tanks
      1.5 million blankets
15 million pairs of army boots
      107,000 tons of cotton
2.7 million tons of petrol products
      4.5 million tons of food.
So the Support of the Soviet Union >started 1941< FAR before DDay !

@@dasboot5903 the russki have romanticezed the Great War to the nth degree. All the generals are geniuses, and the soldiers all heroic communisti. Their movies just reek of sentimentality and factual mistakes. But who cares, they are good entertainment and a far sight better than most Hollywood stuff.

Most Westerners believe that it is always winter in Russia. And suddenly the Germans invade the USSR in summer uniform! The only reason why the detailed plans of the Wehrmacht, which worked successfully in Europe, did not work in the USSR, is the persistent resistance of Soviet soldiers. It was thanks to them and the high losses of the Wehrmacht destroyed Hitler's plans to end the war before the Russian winter. Because of the stupid arrogance of the Nazis, they tried to swallow a piece more than they could chew.
